primoza, I dare say that Ajda will one day realize that as far as free time goes, there's more than just mountains ... and this crazy exaggeration.
But surely Žan's and Ajda's mom isn't that bad as you keep hinting publicly! She'll figure that out herself one day too!

From experience I know, though I have few, that even in my years he'll vividly remember all these trips you two did together. Nothing material can replace that.

I think it was 4 years ago. I'm returning from Grintovec and going to eat at the hut in Kamniška Bistrica. Then Ajda and Žan (alone) come, order drinks. They were happy and completely satisfied - I think they came from Kamniško sedlo.

This "small obstacle" somehow doesn't add up for me. As far as I remember the route is easy and in good conditions also a nice ski descent.

Yesterday I did the tour from Soča to Bavarian Grintavec. Snow starts at 1500 meters, where the lower edge of the large avalanche field is. Higher in the cirque below the summit there's little snow, but what's there is well settled. Conditions are ok, not really hard, since it was very warm, but not sinking too much. Mostly followed the summer path. Above the chimney I went straight to the ridge and reached it right at the logbook. For descent it had softened just right, so I skied back toward the valley. Great tour, highly recommend.

On Saturday, March 23 we headed to BG. We started the path at 6am from the village Soča. Extremely warm weather showed on the terrain. Snow starts (only) around 1600m, at the huge avalanche field. We used crampons and ice axe only about half an hour below the summit. Before entering the traverse gully before the goal. Snow was wet and heavy despite early hour. We didn't have much trouble with sinking. Here and there we stepped into some hole on the avalanche field. Path is very well marked. Especially in the forest. Where marks were covered with snow we followed logical passages to the top. No problems. Tour to top took cca 6h, down 4h. 1900m elevation one way. Long tour, definitely tough on knees. nasmeh
