I was on Begunjščica yesterday via the central gully. Conditions were perfect yesterday except for wind on top, so with Perot we fled the top immediately, would post a pic but yesterday lost camera somewhere in Zelenica area, so if someone found it I'll be very happy if they contact me, on the card lots of nice family memories.

This afternoon work awaits me in Gorenjska, so I used the morning for a quick trip to Begunjščica. On skis from the car, very comfortable on service road too. On Šentanski plaz the tracked and skied ski tracks nicely spice up the walking.
Upper part on foot, snow very hard, again don't go anywhere without crampons and axe. Since not enough snow towards top for skiing I ended tour at top of Šentanc. Skiing straight from top good, about 100m below ridge quite some rocks, then good again to Vrtača. Over hard base 3 cm southern snow made skiing good. Lower part on ski slope that snow already too southern and had to almost push.
Conditions this season favorable for skiers and walkers alike.

Today up Y gully, descent via Kalvarija to Preval and down Bornova path to parking.
Above 1600m some fresh powder, below mostly hard snow holding well.

No problem, only in places it sinks in up to your ass. There's still quite a bit of snow in the forest, it runs out only just above the hut at Preval.
Otherwise, you know, Kalvarija didn't get its name for nothing.

For the weekend I'm planning a tour Brezje Dobrča, Roblekov dom, Zelenica .... I'm especially interested in the path from Roblek to Zelenica (passability at this time, I haven't walked this path in winter yet) or is it better to go to the top and down the central gully to Zelenica? The summit is not the main plan this time. Thanks.

It's none of my business, but I don't see the point of using two ice axes in a gully like the central one.
