Hi. On Sunday I plan to go to the mountains. I'd like to go to Begunjščica via Central gully. Interested in the gully condition, worth going? Thanks for the answer!

Metod, Matej and little me, today from Ljubelj through Born tunnel to Preval and over Kalvarija to Veliki vrh. Down via central gully to hut at Zelenica. Quite some new snow, so punched through in wind-packed spots. Weather pretty good, hardly any wind.

We have quite a few Veliki vrh and this is on Begunjščica, and on Košuta too, Veliki vrh Veža .......

Today my husband and I went from Zelenica to Roblekov dom and then to Preval. Didn't need crampons. Some bits of snow in places, but nothing dangerous as snow is soft. Beautiful loop tour, tons of flowers on path from primroses to gentians. Recommend mežikanje

Hm, it's very hard to specify the time. We took the whole day, observed nature, photographed, took our time, snacked and walked slowly. We stopped at Zelenica, at Roblek and of course at Preval. By the signs it's 1 hour to Zelenica, then 2 hours to Roblekov dom, to planina Preval 1:15 hours and to Ljubelj another 1 hour, total approx. 5-6 hours of very slow walking nasmeh

To Begunjščica on a slightly longer path - from Ljubelj through Bornov tunnel, over Preval to Roblek and to the summit, over Smokuški plaz (still snow up there!!!) to the marked path to Zelenica and back to Ljubelj nasmeh

A small hole on the edge of the scree is the entrance to the tunnel.

Despite relatively poor visibility, even the local Snežnik was visible.

Yesterday I went for the camera forgotten on Zelenica on 8 March, of course when I was already there, my companion and I circled Begunjščica (Ljubelj-Zelenica-Roblek-Preval-tunnel-Ljubelj). There and back we had to step on snow on the part from Zelenica to halfway to Roblek, otherwise all dry. We walked the path in low hiking boots. Thanks to the friendly keeper at Zelenica, also here.

Yesterday afternoon before the forecasted worsening we went to Begunjščica, namely we did a circular tour. Up through Bornov tunnel past Preval, and over Kalvarija to the summit, we returned towards Zelenica and back to Ljubelj. Weather pleasant, without heat, only on the ridge or summit part it was occasionally quite windy. Path without special features.

mfilip - did you descend via Šentanc? And another question: what's the path from Draga through Luknja to Preval like? Some say it's badly eroded, no markers.
