Črna prst

Yesterday I was at Crna Prst too. Walked loop Podbrdo - Kuk - Kal - Sedlo - Crna Prst - Sedlo - Trtnik - Podbrdo. Whole path normally passable, only some snow bit below summit easily avoided.

The whole loop with stops took me a bit less than 7 hours. Otherwise from Podbrdo to the summit good 3 hours walking.

Thanks, nice tour, I like it a lot, haven't gone to Crna Prst from this side yet. We'll fix that soon.

Today on Črna prst. Start Kal. Nothing special on the path to the summit. The path is fully dry except a little snow just below the summit, which presents no problem. Nice views except the wind, which was blowing quite strongly in gusts, several hikers. Nice regards

There is new snow on the path, which sinks deeply.

Hi, saw yesterday from afar - good 200 m below summit snow starts, but don't know how much there actually is. Probably melting fast, as south side ideal for sunbathing mežikanje

Won't blame forecasters, but today not even shadow of yesterday. Good that I was cautious with long pants and sweater in backpack, else it'd be tough. Snow under summit much less than on Jana's photo, mainly just before hut, quite a few visitors, also from Bohinj side.

Bohinj Lake, Kanjavec on the right, just before the clouds covered the peak

Orožnova hut is already dry, higher up the northern side is still quite wintry. To the right of Bohinjska Bistrica is Črna gora.

From the Bohinj side snow is still visible everywhere. From Primorska I don't know.

If you just bypass the mentioned peaks it's about 4 hours walking.

Today on Sunday 27.5.2012 we were with my friend on Črna prst. We parked the car near the former Dr. Janez Mencinger hut. We headed up through planina za Črno goro and further via Suho to Zorko Jelinčič hut on Črna prst and to the summit. The path is dry and nicely passable. The hut on the summit was open but not officially. That will be only after 16.6.2012. On the return we went via the other circular path past pl za Liscem. Orož hut on that planina was open. We continued to the start. The path in total was nicely passable, as it is in season.
