Which access is shortest to Črna prst? Also interested in the forest road crossing Kobla ski slope, descending under Črna prst towards Bohinj somewhere, where does it end.

There are two roads. First (lower) comes from Boh. Bistrica to village Ravne, where Kobla I ends and Kobla II starts. Road goes on towards former Janez Mencinger hut, Bohinj folks call it karavla. There is start for Črna prst.
Upper road comes from Boh. Bistrica via Nemški Rovt and planina Strme. Crosses Kobla where Kobla II ends and III starts. From there another some three km to nearest start to Orož hut and on to Črna prst.

Peter2, it interests me that second i.e. upper one. I noticed signs for Črna prst, then clearing and this forest road descends somewhere into the valley, but there was no sign that anyone had driven on it recently. Actually, I'm wondering if you can drive it to Bohinj? Thanks for the answer and good luck.

If you want to drive the upper road from Boh. Bistrica, head towards Soriska planina. First you reach the village Nemški Rovt and drive on. After 2 km there is a branch right to planina Strme (here leave asphalt). After approx. 6 km reach the starting point for Crna Prst.
Road itself continues another 3 km around Lisec and ends behind Lisec. From there also access to Crna Prst via planina Osredki.

I also plan to choose the mentioned starting point for Crna Prst. I'm interested in the condition of these 6 km forest road? Is there maybe a better variant to go to Soriska pl. and from there to Crna Prst, since the path is marked, right? Nice regards.

If you go to Soriska planina it's better to choose Vrh Bace as starting point. From Soriska planina descend approx 400m towards Bohinjska Bistrica, then turn sharply left. Road is asphalt for some meters more, then drive on good macadam (at least it was) another 2km to parking and start. The tour is described also on this portal:

The question was which is the closest access to Crna Prst, which is surely from the upper road, since to Oroznova koča we need only a good half hour.
Road is o.k. for any car.

Peter2, these your information is excellent! This starting point on upper road is just right to bring also someone with less fitness or will to Crna Prst. Is the path over planina Osredki also marked?

When the path over Osredki was last marked I don't know, start from road is well marked, path good and visible everywhere. Time-wise same as via Oroznova koča. So you can make circular tour too.
If someone interested in flowers this is one of the nicest tours.

Thanks, peter2. We'll surely try, the path to Crna Prst enchanted me already last year, with these a bit higher starting points even easier to decide for repeat.

From Bohinj side to Č.p. Path without problem.
Summit quite visited mainly from Primorska side. Flowers quite destroyed by hail.

By train through Bohinj tunnel, get off in Podbrd, go to Trtnik village and then nice path to Crna Prst, return to Bohinj side past Oroznova koča to start. Very nice tour, but not recommend in this heat.

The two of us went also yesterday to Črna prst, up over planina Osredki - marked and unmistakable path - down past Orožnova koča and its friendly keepers.

Hello,
I have a traverse tour planned and I'm interested if anyone has already done something similar, how is it with time and difficulty. The plan is as follows:
by car to Podbrdo, ascent to Črna prst, sleep in the hut. Next day to Rodica and Vogar, descent to Bohinj and by train back to Podbrdo.
I calculate that the path the next day should be done in 10 hours?

Yesterday I went from Soriska planina to Črna prst. The path is normally passable. Some more pictures.
