I just read that guy took 1 hour 20 to the top.. Well, last year I checked the watch once, noticed I descended in 1 hour 15... and until now it seemed to me I don't know how fast... and I see they take that long the other way (how much I'd take I don't know, last year I was there many times, didn't watch the watch too much)..
Congrats and full honors for ascents in under two hours.!!!
Otherwise I agree that maybe we all a bit sometimes overestimate our abilities. And that thing about the four who got lost on Triglav's western plateau also seems odd to me, because I remember first time up there, in the fog, watching those wide roads, mulattiere.. Well, almost 30 years since then....

On Sunday we were for the first time on Grintovec. Started at 04.00 from Ivanc, at 06.30 arrived at cable car station and headed to Cojz. Rested a bit at Cojz and at 11.30 on top. Passability not really praiseworthy but not important either. Nice weather at start, then all closed so no views. All in all very nice outing. For visitors accessing by car to the head of "V koncu" or to the cargo cableway under Kok.saddle, ... today also shovel and hoe recommended, because the road between Žagana peč and first wooden bridge, and a bit higher too, hardly drivable due to bumps! Of course no problem for offroaders, ... same for pedestrians!

The year flies by and with it the anniversary of Tomaž Humar's death.
To honor Tomaž's great achievements, a group of paragliders set off to Grintovec and flew into the valley.

Today on Grintovec (Kamniška Bistrica-Kokrsko sedlo-Grintovec), fantastic weather, views too and whoever stayed in the valley today can regret it.... Path dry, except near top some snow patches left which cause no trouble, according to forecast peaks will soon be snow-covered again...... On top blowing quite strong SW wind so gloves and hat handy. Otherwise too warm for the season... Safe steps..

I was at the top a couple of hours ago. Visibility maybe 10m, wind at least 60km/h (in the forecast), gullies are beautifully formed, the roof path is completely icy, ice axe & crampons no excuse.

Today I was on Grintovec. Left the car much lower than the lower draglift station because the road is icy and passable only with chains. Towards the top (along the roof) everything is icy so without crampons and ice axe no go. Visibility was poor, no trodden path because wind quickly erased it.
