Cojzova koča no longer operates. As for the winter room - in any case it will be cold for you, but it should be usable.

With a good sleeping bag there's no winter for Eskimos.

When we closed the hut, the winter room was nicely tidied, swept, in short tip top. Those who use it please TIDY UP after yourselves so there is no pigsty like it was this year: cans, trash and more could be found.

I don't know why we always have to get upset and blame "all" mountaineers. I believe many clean up after themselves, but there are just some hikers who are slobs and leave a real pigsty behind. This is how I saw the bivouac.

This is the real pigsty that foreigners left. The only bivouac below Dolkova špica.

Hey! Wondering if anyone went recently from Shuhadolnik over Taško to Kokrško sedlo, is the path ok? LP

Grintovec: up via Dolge stene, down via Streha It seems like today's weather played a trick on numerous Grintovec visitors, unlike the nice forecast; from Kokrsko sedlo onwards there was quite a bit of (cold) wind, and the western peaks of KSA already around 12h got a thick lenticular cloud cover. The path via Dolge stene is no longer marked, but the little path from Malih vratc (further marked path to P.K. bivouac and Skuta), where we turn left to the ridge among the grasses, is still quite traceable. In the summit part, when we reach the rocky terrain and need to scramble a bit, there are individual snow tongues, which can be bypassed or avoided. The usual path via Streha is clear of snow.

Today my colleague and I did a memorial hike for Tomaž Humar 2012. The forecast wasn't too promising for flying from the Grintovec summit, but in the morning hours only the Jezerska side remained fog-free and thus enabled a safe landing in the valley. The path is clear except for some snow patches on the Streha and on the summit itself. L.P.

Yesterday I used the last November Sunday for ascent to Grintovec. Start at Dom in Kamniška Bistrica. Went the usual path via Streha. Path without issues. It was really a nice day.
