Yesterday there were about 10 of us up there. Regarding snow I'd say it was more like half a meter than a meter.

Just back from Grintovec via Glihkar. Started at 6:10 from in front of the home in Kamniška Bistrica, at Kokrško sedlo greeted in the hut for a couple of minutes, at the top at 9; by footprints (yes, a bit of fresh snow fell overnight) judging first today... wasn't really rewarded with views, mists were smoking around and enveloped all surrounding peaks. Possibly nicer later. It was windy and cold, so didn't linger at the top and just turned around and went back to the saddle... well, managed to take a few pictures, will have to return for the views . Otherwise the path is ok.

Today I was on Grintovec. At 5:30 I started at Suhadolnik, up via Taška to the hut. To Grintovec over the roof, where the path poses no problems. Need to cross one snowfield, but it's so small and in a place where you can't fall, doesn't deserve the name snowfield. Returned the same way because clouds were swirling around the top and promising nothing good. Had lunch at the hut, then return on the old path which rain had soaked in between, so some caution was needed. Rain caught me about 100 m below the hut, fell 4 minutes then stopped almost to Suhadolnik, where it started raining again. In the valley never seen so many mushrooms in the forest before Suhadolnik. Mmmm mushrooms.

Hi! Has anyone gone these days towards Mlinarsko sedlo - Grintovec? Interested mainly in scree fields (or snowfields) on the path towards Mlinarsko sedlo? Still any snow there?

I was there on 22.6., snow is no obstacle, only immediately from the bivouac towards Ml. sedlo there is a bigger snowfield where you need to be careful (but it goes without ice axe too), snow was southern and doesn't sink in (or go a few meters higher on rocks and avoid it completely). Otherwise I enjoyed this path like I haven't for a long time, really beautiful path, and weather obliged too, so ,,legs on the path,, Pictures http://www.mojalbum.com/sasx99/grintovec-22-6-2013

Via Gamsov skret and Velike Pode to Cojzova hut for coffee. Then to the top of foggy Grintovec and back to Konec. On Podi there are still unproblematic snowfields, in the notch between Dolgi hrbet and Štruca the snowfield is quite dangerous, so I recommend to hikers going to Skuta from this direction that they not set out on the path without an ice axe. Best

garmont.... soon I'd like to go this path to Grintovec, so I'm interested how far one can drive, or if one needs to leave the car already at the hut in K. B. and if it's hard to find the start of the path to Gamsov skret, because I read some forums that some got lost at the beginning, and also, why didn't you go via Mlinarsko sedlo to Grintovec, isn't it closer if you're already on Podih than to descend to Cojzova, or maybe too much snow?? Sorry for so many questions, thanks in advance for the answer.

You can drive by car a bit further from the lower station of the cargo cableway to Kokrško sedlo. (At the end) The start of the path through Gamsov skret is a bit hard to find, so you can go via Žmavčarjev to the bivouac under Skuta, via Malih podov to marked paths, on which you reach the bivouac under Grintovec. I don't know about the snow there, I was on Rinke on 5.7. where you still need to cross quite a few snowfields.

Drive to the cargo cableway behind Kokrško sedlo, a bit further there's another bigger parking: left for Kokrško sedlo, right for Hudournik, middle for Žmavčarje. You have to choose the middle one that goes to Gamsov skret.

Yes, it is closer via Mlinarsko sedlo, but you wouldn't get coffee, right? For Gamsov skret, stick to the middle path at the start (above the upper parking lot in Konec), which is still for quite some time quite similar to a worse macadam road, until higher in the forest the road disappears, the path continues to the right.
