gašper31, I went over Škrbina last year and the protections were in perfect condition, FYI if it helps.

Fresh morning in Loška Koritnica predicts a nice day. I go to Zatrep and further to V koncu, there I turn right towards Kotovo sedlo. At the place where there are chains, three are torn, but don't significantly complicate the passage. Short rest at Kotovo sedlo, then towards the summit. Tamar partly obscured by mists, other valleys mostly in fog too, Primorska of course all bathed in sun and of course Jalovec too, which is all in sun on Primorska side. Markac members of PD Medvode are building a box for the summit log. I descend to Jezerca, then across Veliki ozebnika, meet acquaintances from Breginj, then to Špičko, where short chat follows, then ascent to Škrbina za Gradom awaits me, then somewhat annoying descent in upper part (scree, carefully) to sedlo Čez Brežice (Brežiči) and down towards Loška Koritnica. In between I step over some thinner fallen larches and other branches. Below I don't feel like going via the pegs, so I turn to "hunting passage Čez Štenge" which isn't the best option, as all their chains are torn, below such a steep drop that it takes your breath, snow is at least another 20 meters. At some point I manage to climb from rocks to snow, then down to the stream and I'm at the starting point. Nice circular path. Jalovec of course still king of mountains.

Very nice Triglavski, I enjoy reading your descriptions and pictures, more of this please if possible, it is a very good addition to the mountaineering guides. Nice greetings from Styria.

I'm already a bit older, my knees bother me, and I needed 3 and a half hours to the top.

Well, I was also on Jalovec on Sunday. The nicest for me was the view that I enjoyed the evening before from the bivouac and in the morning when the sun peeked from the opposite side onto Jalovec. Here I give them to you. Otherwise I went from Tamar over Ponca (very poorly marked, protections, to the saddle under Vevnica, practically none). It was funny at the bivouac, space for 9 people and we were exactly nine.

triglavski, I'm interested what you say about safety and maintenance of the trail on the part over the hillocks towards the notches behind the castle, respectively 50m below the notch? Since I went last weekend to Jalovec from Koritnica towards the summit. Below the notch 30-50m I came across quite a crumbly path and unsecured, even my friends had to pull me out and hold me with ropes in one moment because stones started pulling me towards the abyss! I know you passed that path a few days before, there shouldn't be some missing rope that's missing!

That spot is really a bit tricky, a few years ago during the earthquakes one part simply sank a few meters, the passage is now possible with the help of steel cables, this year a bit higher right under the notch viewed from bottom to top there was also a rockfall that buried the path to a larger extent. Some pegs for grip were also loosened, so they are almost unusable. Thorough cleaning of the path from top to bottom would be needed, of course the path needs to be closed during such works. I'll notify the responsible people at PZS.

On Sunday we set off early in the morning from Tamar towards Jalovec. The scree is quite tricky and steep above. Below Jalovec notch there is a snowfield with a hole, so we can get through. The wall of Goličica is steep but well protected - mainly with pegs. Descent over Kotovo sedlo is quite demanding. Especially the lower part of the protected path is crumbly. Three pegs of the cables are pulled out, which doesn't cause problems. The tour is suitable for experienced mountaineers who are used to walking on secured exposed paths.

We had a plan to go up this weekend, but I see it wouldn't be too nice. No big deal, we've postponed the Jalovec trip to Friday and Saturday this weekend.

I plan to go up with family. Friday afternoon to Špička, Saturday morning to the top and then back to the valley.
