Today visited Kamniško sedlo from Jermance. Road nicely drivable, practically dry. Trail to saddle trampled, snow height cca 40 cm, higher up less as it's windblown. From Pastirci to saddle it was "šajba", after 12 o'clock it clouded over. Also - in Bistrici at last house they put up the sign "prohibited traffic for all motor vehicles" again.

Subaru, thanks for the info. That cursed sign "prohibited traffic for all motor vehicles" already hints at some story in Butalah.

As long as no barrier is put up, we/they will drive to Jermance or to Konec, be it "smuggling" or by the rules. Like in front of shopping centers everyone wants to park right at the entrance, who feels like walking that far Even though the path to Kamniško sedlo is quite interesting and to Kokrsko passes quickly too. Whoever complains about the road condition - probably meant for forestry not "hiking" - then feet to the ground, on foot nothing shakes or bumps

It's like Krvavec, where everyone goes to the barrier on the pasture, although officially one is only allowed to Ambrož.

that's so that when you damage the car on some rock or stump, you don't go to the municipality for compensation

Am Shagar 25.11.2015 It's like Krvavec, where everyone goes to the barrier on the pasture, although officially only allowed as far as Ambrož. Eh? Which official's mind did you read? To Jezerci there's absolutely no prohibition, that's a normal public road open to traffic. And clearly - it's in appropriately good condition too.

Not just to the barrier! Further too. Pay the toll-parking and drive further!

Everyone knows well that if we go to the mountains it's done on foot, we do all kinds of tours on foot and really don't understand why it's such a problem to do another couple of 100 meters on foot if it's forbidden!!

Foresters have quite some fallen wood there. According to the sign they'll have to bring the wood down by "hand". No additional sign that for forestry it's allowed. What madness, confused.

The roads to Jermanca and to Konec are categorized as public paths. And since the manager has two options, to ensure passability or to close the road to traffic, in this case it chooses the latter for economic reasons (not an isolated case in the municipality).

This closure probably applies to the winter period; in summer it was normally drivable to Konec. With us, instead of fixing something, we always prefer to close it and the job is done. How diligently in foreign valleys they repair roads for tourism in spring, ours don't even know where, let alone food service and lodging and other activities.

You provoked me with this road. Since 2009 when I keep notes, I have driven this road 42 times, of which 9 times this year, whether there was a sign or not. Once I waited here 10 minutes while they loaded wood on the truck. If someone fears that the spider from Jermanca will take him, let him park in Kamnik

The Pajkars don't bother even to reach Bistrica, let alone to dig up there to Jermanca.

With the installation of this sign, several pluses will also be achieved: - foresters will more easily get to fallen trees; - hunters will be happier, as we won't scare the game; - birds will have a peaceful environment too; - hikers will spend more time in fresh air; - drivers won't get angry at potholes and bumps on the road; - fewer problems with parking spaces; - guests in the mountain hut in Kamniška Bistrica will sleep better, as we won't rattle under their window early in the morning; - even municipal inspectors can collect some into the municipal pocket, as violators will always be there. So in the end, all pluses.

As Viharnik correctly guessed and Grega wrote the explanation, the road is closed in winter time. I don't know exactly when (as I'm not local) but probably around the first snow they put up that sign. This doesn't mean inspectors will patrol and issue fines, but one must be aware that in winter it often happens that it's not passable. Even if from that parking lot where the hiking trail starts it looks perfectly fine, a bit further where the climb begins, the situation can be completely different.

It's about preparatory works of the winter service, which last from October 15 to November 15.
