Nice "winter" day at Kamnik Saddle. Quite a few visitors, huge crowd at the parking lot. For newbies the webcam pic is deceptive, surprisingly lots of snow above Kamrco, poles (no rags) sink to handles in spots. This snow fun is short, even slowpokes do it in under half an hour. Trail to Brana trodden, no one to Planjava yet. On descent heard short avalanche roars from Brana.

I was up Saturday. Path ok. Skier ahead made track, I widened it willy-nilly
Careful below summit. New snow blown away completely, only hard frozen base left.

Footpath from KB past loading area to Kam. saddle also tricky at start, three trees freshly fallen. Road to Jermanca difficult due to huge ditches and "dunno" if removed tree or branches across road. Packed down and skied winter room too!

Packed down. Snow excellent, no need for crampons! But doesn't mean leave them home. NO! Crampons stay in backpack.
