@iUnknown: yeah, that's my problem too, yeah, that I'm so very sleepy. I sleep like a log; it doesn't matter if I go to bed earlier or later. It seems I have "sleep disease," like they know it in Finland. I too sometimes fall asleep at the wheel, and I often wake up when it's already too late. Still, I really like getting up early in the morning, but what can I do when it succeeds so rarely. When I lived elsewhere, I easily got up before 4:00, now that I've moved it's extremely difficult, almost impossible. Obviously something to do with energy flows or energy-spiritual pollutions. frown

Yesterday I saw from the saddle that there is still quite some snow on the path to Okrešelj.

On the path to the wall there are three easily passable snowfields. For a cautious step they are not problematic. Wall dry. Lp

Has anyone walked from Kamnik Saddle towards Planjava or is there still some snowfield to cross or is the path already dry? l.p. Jpže

Hi,

on Sunday there were still 4 snowfields on the path. First one still before entrance to the wall, then one at the end of the most zigzagged part (right after chains on this picture: http://www.hribi.net/slika.asp?pot=94009) and one right below Sukalnik (right after section on this picture: http://www.hribi.net/slika.asp?pot=94011). Both snowfields have already completely rotten snow and deep footprints.

Last snowfield is on scree further from climbing part and poses no danger, just a bit more annoying to cross the scree

It's already better, the most critical snowfield right after chains has melted so much by today that it can be bypassed

Newbies won't dare to Kamnik Saddle, because they'll think the chains are under snow that isn't even there. It wouldn't be bad to move this under the Planjava topic

Today at the saddle there were more October-like conditions, surprisingly hikers were not lacking, so Simon with the team had plenty of work. Many of us went to Brana for the sun, whose peak was bathing in it.

I was also at the saddle on 1.7. and waiting just like many for the fog to clear. Went to Brana in pleasant company, but when we returned to the saddle around 15.30 it cleared and there was beautiful view around. At the hut few visitors remained. Thanks to Jan and Eva for company nasmeh
