Before the weather deterioration today I chose one of the shorter variants and climbed to Kamnik Saddle (Jerman's Gate). The path and conditions on the path are without peculiarities, at the saddle fog and quite strong wind, which in my opinion didn't allow safe and relaxed continuation of the path towards Planjava and Brana. I'd add that the hut closes on 10.10.2010; after that, winter operating hours apply (nice weather, etc.). LP Andrej

We are rushing, chasing and exploiting the obviously last nice, still quite warm and sunny autumn days; Friday start from Jermanca at 10 o'clock, ascent to Kamnik Saddle according to the description from this forum (very handy and thanks); to the hut two hours, last ascent also knee-biting; at the top... all rewardedvelik nasmeh; towards Kamnik thick fog, on the other side towards Logar Valley crystal clear, no mists, beautiful visibility as far as the eye reaches... hut already closed from previous weekend; my soul doesn't give me peace not to share these beautiful views again with you; LP

pohodnica53: I was surprised how fast you were. Is it really possible to get up there in two hours, I looked at the description where it says two and a half hours, I added another half hour, since I'm very slow. Can you really do more than 450 m elevation in one hour?

I did exactly 800 meters of elevation in one hour, to the top of the saddle I needed 1.40 hours. Starting point: house in KB. The goal was to get out of the fog as soon as possible, at the saddle there was sun.

She's dizzy, but not slow, had good company and it went. velik nasmeh Time doesn't matter anyway, up there visibility on the other side was unbelievable, towards Kamnik fog!!! One guy with dog was returning, said he sunbathed up there for an hour and a half, warm, no wind nasmeh

Regarding snow: beautiful view shows snow starts at Pastirci, so at 1400 meters, but nothing dramatic.
