Today quite early to avoid too much heat to Kepa from Erjavčev Rovt. On the way up also to Gubno and Dovška Mala Kepa. To Gubno from marked path along southern ridge (junction marked with cairn) up and down, to DMK along eastern ridge right when it starts. This variant is easy, just stick to the ridge and up in a couple of minutes. At top still thinking to continue to Kepa along western ridge, but rated it a bit too demanding from top. And when observed it later from Kepa direction, no regret for decision. Given crumbly terrain that ridge wasn't appealing. Recommend to others wanting DMK to use eastern ridge up and down from marked path. Otherwise path without special features, safety gear good, well marked, maybe visible sign at start pointing right direction. Can find without it too. But increased caution needed in some places due to gravel on path (slip even dry could end very badly in some spots). And at least on wire rope sections highly recommended, on busy days almost mandatory helmet... Hard to walk without dropping something down... In short wonderful path that with weather like today right after forest offers incredible views... Nice... Recommend.

I went today the same path as PV yesterday. Regarding his warnings (helmet on secured sections, gravel on path) fully agree with him - with increased weekend visitors advisable to follow these instructions.

Yesterday we were on Kepa, trail is ok, just occasionally foggy at the top. On "our" Kepa no logbook, pencil and box lid. On "neighboring Oe" Kepa everything as it should be.

Yesterday I did the tour as described by tinky, but in reverse direction. I also skipped DMK because weather deterioration was forecast. I have two questions about the path; is it possible from Gubno summit to continue west and descend there back to marked trail to avoid the annoying crossing of some gullies on the south and even more on the east slope of Gubno? And next question, tinky wrote ... and down the gully back to Erjavčev Rovt. Is that the gully we see on the right when ascending from the confluence of Mlinca and Žakelj stream on the direct path to Dovška Rožca pasture? If yes, please hint where the entry is in the upper part. Thanks and happy trails.

I'm interested, what's the path from Dovška Rožca to Gubno like. Any difficult spots or better to start from Mlinca?

Edina, if going down from Dovška Rožca just before reaching the road turn right into the gully. Path is poorly visible in places but you can't go wrong from the gully. You end up in Erjavčev Rovt. I asked the shepherd at Dovška Rožca hut about the path.

Tinky thanks for reply, I'll go look for it. Babim the path from Dovška Rožca towards Mlinca saddle is completely easy, be careful at the end of the pasture and among many paths find the one with sign Kepa at start. Maybe the whole section is a bit poorly marked, but that doesn't spoil the enjoyment. Loss of elevation to Koritce not worth mentioning. Happy trails.

How difficult is that? To me that slab at least from the pic doesn't look completely trivial. Oh, and the penultimate pic is great...

As Juš already wrote, there's a II section in the lower part, slabs in the picture can be avoided along the ridge.

Few people on Kepa today. Snow on slope ~20cm, path in steep summit straight up. Little grip even with crampons, snow too soft, rocks below. Kepa winter different character due to steepness. Some (pics 8-9) clueless . Road to Jeprca drivable to ~1300 sharp right bend. There hauling wood, further snowy.
