Me too today again to Lubnik via the classic path from Škofja Loka. Ascent in the last rays of the setting sun, at the top a beautiful twilight with Venus, which lit up our eyes right after sunset. Along the way, views were caught on freshly snow-covered ridges, where woodpecker tapping was heard, a kingfisher in flight, I also spotted a treecreeper, below the summit a roe deer jumped across the path to the opposite side.
Really, quite magical, descent already in the dark under the starry sky, eyes drawn especially to Orion in this winter time, and Jupiter can't be missed either.
Path nicely walked, hut open today, everything provided. Just go, and a happy end of the day is guaranteed.

Valley in fog, cloudy at the top. Hard packed snow on the path, so caution needed on descent, crampons.

Pleasantly cool and windy day today for visiting Lubnik. Almost no encounters on the way, but all the more lively bird flights, lots of tits, long-tailed tits, a pair of bullfinches, treecreeper, woodpecker, beautiful jays, echo of woodpecker tapping, siskin calling, really a diverse bird world present. Below Gabrovo village a moment of snowfall that came from somewhere.
At the top sunshine, so we could comfortably lounge on the benches, and there was space.

No, quite below the horses. You get to the logs really soon if you go from the bend at Kobila towards Gabrovo.

Today another ridge ascent: after yesterday's from Črni kal along ridge to top of Blegoš today followed ascent from Podlubnik along ridges to Lubnik, descent circular, so Gabrovo-Podlubnik.
The ridge one is quite steep, elevation gain cca 670 m or good 700, if counting that the path even slightly descends a few times.
52 min up, 38 via Gabrovo down...
Marked 1 hour 45 min, one or the other.

Hey Vencelj, did you go on marked along ridge, or did you go on old ridge one which starts right after Vešterski bridge.... lp..
