Lubnik Hut

A few more of my photos from today's visit to Lubnik. It was a gorgeous day, wonderful views, a bit windy, in short nice, in the hut very tasty cracklings (praise to the cook). As my predecessor already wrote about crampons - they are not necessary, but good to have (safer step). Nice regards.

Today on Lubnik from Puštala along the ridge. On the ridge some frozen snow. Down over Kobila and past Kranclja. There are incredible crocus fields! Maybe someone knows if they are planted, given they are fenced?

Hello! This Saturday I was also on Lubnik and stayed overnight there too, since I had already five summits behind me and was thoroughly worn out. I want to praise the hut keepers, very friendly staff, good food, excellent coffee, excellent sleeping rooms, REALLY ALL PRAISE! I RECOMMEND A VISIT! I've been up here for the third time now and will come again when hiking these parts.
Lubnik was also well visited this Saturday evening and Sunday already at 6am, that says something, right? Really ALL PRAISE TO THE CURRENT TEAM and I RECOMMEND VISIT AND STAYING TOO, NOT EVEN MENTIONING THE EXCELLENT BARLEY SOUP AND COFFEE, AND THE ROOMS.....

Two days before the cooling I climbed to Lubnik from Breznica in the afternoon. At the top nice view of thunderstorms in Kamnik-Savinja and Julian Alps. Quite a few people despite the weekday.

Today nice hike on the freshly whitened path to Lubnik. Start - St. Tomaž above Praprotno. Path without special features. Weather wonderful, top a bit windy. In the hut very tasty food and friendly keeper. Nice mountaineer greeting.

Some today's snapshots from the path to Lubnik. We started in Breznica below Lubnik. On the path some snow, but today it was no obstacle. Weather not the best, but still nice. In the hut very tasty food and friendly keeper. Nice mountaineer greeting.

Lubnik bathed in sun today offering wonderful views. Started in Podlubnik and continued on ridge path to top. Back on path to Gabrovo village and from there to Podlubnik. When crossing bridge over Selška Sora path very muddy and slippery. Under Mali Lubnik path icy needs more caution. In hut as always tasty food and friendly keeper. Nice mountaineer greeting.

The start of meteorological summer on Saturday was also felt as the start of summer evenings. The view from the top towards KSA offered a shower and a rainbow. And singing crickets on the meadow on the way back to the valley. nasmeh

Three girls and one lad to Lubnik from Škofja Loka castle to Lubnik summit. Weather cloudy, some clearing at top, path muddy, partly snowy and icy, caution needed, but with expected thaw it'll be even muddier, still nice at top. Warm in hut, good service, flancati, cracklings, some chat. Ascent took 1:50, descent 1:30. Karst features below Kranclj. Trim trail here too. Kids obviously diligent, Grandpa freezes on the job...

Today Lubnik was basking in the sun and offered wonderful views. Starting point-Praprotno. Trail without special features, lots of hikers though. Nice hiking greeting.

Skala, really unique views to all mountain groups! With such good visibility this not very high Lubnik becomes a real viewpoint. nasmeh

Sometimes I go to Lubnik too, though not often, but I'll try to improve nasmeh

Haven't noticed so much new in a long time. Through the trees view of Križna gora with church and Stol in the background, then a kitty right on top (maybe they brought it from Blegoš nasmeh

), and a new path too...

It was windy today, don't know about elsewhere, but on Lubnik it was blowing nicely. I don't mind that nasmeh

Today to Lubnik in strong southwest wind. No really nice views today.Hikers plenty,as usual.The trail itself without special features.Nice hiking greeting.

Hiking at this time has its advantages nasmeh

. You can peek for views of mountains through branches that aren't there in summer. Yes, I took advantage today when climbing to Lubnik via the ridge trail. I liked it so much I returned the same way. Met only a couple people on the whole tour, and I walked from home.

Today views from the top so clear and crisp, I'd say they can hardly be better from Lubnik. If it were a bit higher, they'd reach right to the sea nasmeh

Today to Lubnik via the ridge trail, which I like best right now. How could I not, since we spotted chamois on its edges today, which hasn't happened to me before. Of course, you experience that only if you climb in silence, with eyes open to nature, then you see lots. Even the sun hiding didn't spoil the mood, since seeing chamois around here is a real treat. I was teaching my sister along the way that you see chamois only if you walk wordlessly, but I didn't really count on it nasmeh

At the top though, Tatjana serves really tasty flancati, last time when only guys were serving, there weren't any.
The kitty on top really cute, don't know his name yet.
