I was there last weekend and it was really nice. :-) There was quite some visitors too and with quite a high percentage of "fajhtnih".
Otherwise it's supposedly most crowded end of June when gentians bloom.

We were at Snežnik yesterday and it was super, only towards the top huge swarms of insects in the air. It was an amazing day for views from the top. Towards midday on return it was already quite hot, but the forest path was really pleasant and fresh.

can someone write if the gravel road from Snežnik castle onwards is passable or not. We'd go to Snežnik from Gašperjev hrib.

Conditions on Snežnik fully wintry, otherwise passable for now still without winter gear except warm clothes of course... snow frozen in places, sinking in others...

Today there was no trace of snow, but a cold wind with rain was blowing and fog shortened our view of the beautiful Snežnik forest. On the return to Leskovo valley, we spotted bear paws. and

Today around noon the road Il. Bistirca – Sviščaki was plowed and with winter tires normally drivable. Around 18h the road was due to drifts already quite snowy again; probably won't plow tonight, definitely tomorrow morning/afternoon.
Guessing no one went towards the top of Snežnik today. I skied to the bench with the sign saying 1.5 hours to the top; then turned back due to darkness. Wind made drifts, so the track on return was already completely buried in places.

27.1.2015 was up there, snow a little bit but still skiable from last turnaround. Up top walking still ok yeah.

Road to Sviscakov will be plowed only tomorrow afternoon, so I doubt anyone was up there today
so tomorrow there won't be traditional cultural program on Snežnik either
