Also cracklings potica can be excellent. It's a matter of taste, some like the walnut one seasoned, others find cracklings too much too quickly. Then it depends who makes it and how much they season it, so it's good to check beforehand how it looks, because that already tells a lot. Besides, with cracklings potica it also depends a lot if it's just baked (still hot) or already cooled down.
Regarding that, cracklings potica is very specific, I prefer the walnut one, you can hardly go wrong.

Cracklings potica is excellent. Fresh especially. And they sometimes have slices such that it's already quite a walnut bite. Lately I order it more often than flancat. They often have a whole palette of poticas on the menu: walnut, tarragon (also good), cracklings...

And it came up again.
Of course another circular variant, to Razor gora, then past the mine to Kosmati vrh, to the gravel road and along it to the starting point.
In the hut there are boards hanging with the best ten of the Friends of Ratitovec action, last year there were already four who didn't miss even one day (365 ascents in one year).

FROM PRTOVČE TO RATITOVEC
27 August 2016
Barefoot hike to Ratitovec will this year too take place under leadership of Benedik Marjan, from whom you'll get all necessary info. PD za Selško dolino Železniki will prepare refreshments on arrival at Ratitovec, hunting hut at Toli then gathering after return to valley.
Data on hike course:
•Hike on Saturday, 27. 8. 2016 starting at 8 o'clock
•Meeting place of hikers at hunting hut at Toli
•Hike not competitive, so proceeds in group, winners all who arrive without shoes from hunting hut at Toli to Krek hut at Ratitovec
•At Ratitovec hikers get tea and flancat
•All participants get souvenir and stew at hunting hut at Toli
•Contribution 9 EUR

Weather was top-notch today! Wasn't as forecasted. Is there even anything to think about?
So: Soriška planina (Hunting hut)- Ratitovec and back same way. No circling today.
Start at 17 without "gear"... in short nothing! Don't need it.
19:30 back... total with half-hour stop.

To the morning walk from Dražgoše to Kališe on left side through Smrečje on field and forest paths, ascent to Sv. Križ and return via Površnica, in the afternoon I decided for another Ratitovec. By car through foothill villages Zg. Danje and Zabrdo to Torka. There parked car, path from village to cable car currently in quite bad condition, ultimately no need, time-wise 10 min difference, and that's fine, since point isn't to drive as close as possible. All the more benefit for health!
By cable car was parked small truck, at top immediately knew why: Ratitovec got another "table set"- large table + benches on all four sides, seems Dražgošani excelled (Dražgoško omizje).
Timing we say not important, but anyway: ascent 35 min, descent 20 min.
Didn't return to start in Spodnje Danje, went to Železniki, so drove road through Ravne to Šurek and through Zali log to Železniki.

Hello,
I intend to go to Ratitovec from Dražgoše specifically coming from Mohor direction then over Sodlovec past autumn gully further to hunting hut at Toli. That part from Sodlovec on is unknown to me now and wonder if someone knows and uses that path and if marked.

Sadly, I was away for two weeks, so I only stumbled upon Luka's question now.
I know the path well; it's marked, and even the junction in the village is sufficiently marked so that if you're a bit attentive, you can't miss it.
Interestingly, as a Dražgošan, it's the first time I've heard of Sodlovec. Obviously not in general use. Then I discovered it on this path description with map:

Hut at Ratitovec open daily until Sunday, then on Saturdays and Sundays.
Today it was a bit windy and some fog, but warm enough and "friendly" for ascent.
Once again I chose the peaks, but this time not to the ridge but followed the trail under the rims, curious where it leads. Ran into two chamois herds (6+3), about 20 meters away.
Then the path turned up along the unmarked hunter's variant and some tracks suggested this trail once had more traffic. Steep, zigzag over meadows, led me to the summit, say, by estimate, 300 m from hut.

Today at Ratitovec already real winter fairy tale, especially morning when still sunny, later clouds dragged in. Snow started already below Razor, at times path bit icy, especially in shaded parts. Otherwise no problems and quite some visitors.

Today in quite changeable weather to Ratitovec, a bit of sun, a bit of clouds, towards the top cold, sharp wind. No big lingering around the hut and admiring the surroundings today, but inside tasty tea and flancat, without which you almost can't go down to the valley.

In the mountaineering school over 45+ years ago they taught us that Ratitovec stretches from Kosmatega vrha in the east to Tonderškofla in the west.

Today a mix, foggy and sunny. Up and down past Razor and over Vratca to Gladki vrh, the path could be at least on descent on sections also for crampons. For reward, taken care of.

Pleasant few-hour path to Ratitovec ridge with visit to highest point Altemaver. On the path need to watch at places where path is icy or has heavily slippery frozen snow otherwise dry and yesterday almost no breeze in warm sunny weather. More at: http://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/130952/
