I saw 7 of them, and the hike wasn't any different, so that's it

Sandra, did you mistake Black Lake for the lake at Planina pri Jezeru, which isn't the Triglav one? If you go from Blato you surely don't see Black Lake. At least not on the direct path.

Triglav NATURAL seven lakes are: Black Lake, Double Lake, Great Ledvica Lake, Green Lake, Brown bog and lake below Vršac. So, if we count Double Lake as two lakes (as it is now due to drought), that makes 7 lakes. Močivec Lake, which is right behind the hut if looking north, is not a natural lake and was created by an artificial concrete dam. So, if we want to see all 7 natural ones, we have to start at the hut at Savica, climb over Komarča to Black Lake and then along the valley north to Zasavska hut at Prehodavci. But since the ascent over Komarča is demanding due to steepness, as in good 2 km of path you climb 657 meters and also some exposure in the upper part, it's better to take the path from Blato pasture as Laščan suggested. That's all from me. Good luck and lots of enjoyment on the way.

Sandra, you'll have to hurry if you want to see the seven lakes. Half joking half serious. Drought doesn't spare the lakes either and Green Lake isn't doing well. The shore of Ledvica lake was higher too, which you can also notice. I convinced myself of that when visiting the lakes this Sunday. Unfortunately no rain and meteorologists don't forecast prolonged rains until end of August. We can only hope for a more watery autumn so nature recovers a bit.

The upper door of the winter room at the seven lakes opens really hard (it sticks on the floor board). I hope some good soul will fix it.

I'm interested in the path via Komarča to Triglav lakes, is there still any snow there, or has it all melted. Anyone going? thanks best regards

Today, as Martin from the cable car at Savica says, the water you see in the picture is still pouring. After that, the problem is crossing the upper gully, where there are pegs and a chain. That part can be under water.

Time to go see the surroundings of the hut at 7J again and later to Tičarica...Started at pl.Blato via Prode to the hut, greeted the friendly staff who are already eagerly starting the season, refreshed and climbed via Štapce to Tičarica and the neighboring little peak called Bela glava and with enjoyment of the nice botany down to the valley...

I'm curious how much time it would take for the following tour: Trenta - Prehodavci - Triglav Lakes - Hut at Savica? Is it doable in one day? We're in pretty good shape. Also curious about the path from Prehodavci onwards - any more difficult ascents? Best regards.

If you're in good shape it shouldn't be a problem for the whole day. Once you're at Prehodavci there are no more ascents, unless you descend via Komna and not Komarča.

With a 12-year-old child we hiked the path in the opposite direction via Komarča in 8 hours. b.r.
