Is it also possible in winter to get the stamp of the traverse (SPP) Prešeren Hut on Stol? Maybe in the winter room, in front of the entrance or lower at Valvasor Hut? Thanks for the info and happy trails.

Today on Stol, road to Valvasor Hut in good condition—no snow. Path further to Stol well trodden, hard and in places icy, so crampons not superfluous. Otherwise extremely warm, at the top even no wind, lots of visitors and summit log still filled to the last corner... Lp

here at the top up to around 12-1 doable, higher nicely frozen. otherwise very tough, without snowshoes dunno if possible, without crampons hard too. some people before us but turned at slide. if you want it's doable

Today at 9am (new) at Podnarju, where it was all parked up, so park in the village. I count around 50 cars, quite a few Slovenians. Easy ski hike, on the slope a column of tourers winds, on the saddle like a picnic, many go up to Svačica, even more towards Stol. Under Stol quite hard, slippery, without crampons quite dangerous. At 12h on top, soon ski down, not bad, better than later from the saddle when all tracked, southern snow, better when I turn right under Vrtača, find quasi powder, at such temperatures totally OK. Wanted Radler at Podnarju but packed full. Another nice day on snow

With car to Valvasorjev dom. Snow starts already under prižnica, but visibly thinning. Gear, of course, take with you, use as needed .

Situation Tuesday, 15.4. Started at 14h in valley. Path past Valvasorjev dom to viewpoint rest at three benches (1700m) without issues. Right after first bend winter conditions start. Snow even in afternoon firm enough, no deep sinking. Footprints of previous hikers not visible or wind erases right away. Towards top snow frozen, no sinking. Lots of snow still, signs at saddle covered. For safe walking crampons and ice axe essential.
