To the mountains with a dog?!

The dog's owner should think why his dog bites? Why doesn't he clean up after it? Why isn't it on a leash? Poor dog is not guilty if it has an ignorant owner! Poor dogs with everyone they have to go for walks, to mountains and who all boost their self-confidence with them! Yeah right, buy a plastic dog, will you be such heroes then? Don't mix into this debate, kids, insects. People can be impatient and annoying if in Tivoli you walk through shit, and behind you flies a loose dog. Everything has its limits. To you dog owners patience and understanding towards fellow humans and animals. YOU HAVE DOGS FOR YOURSELVES, SO DON'T BOTHER OTHERS WITH IT AND DON'T FORCE IT ON THEM.

Go cheerfully today dragging your dogs into the mountains. We will go during the week, when your darlings are locked in apartments all day.

I agree with my predecessor m. or f., but only in that they will "go" during the week to the mountains, because such people are not for crowds on weekends. My dog won't be locked in the apartment, as I regularly take him out 3-5 times a day in any weather and clean up every smallest poop so that some ignorant non-owner doesn't step in it. Since you don't have a dog, don't bother us who think differently with your opinion and don't impose it on us! Some respect the laws. If shits and dogs bother you in Tivoli, don't go there but somewhere where dogs are forbidden. Best, T.

Hi, I don't know who is more annoying puppies or all those impatient writers. I support puppies in mountains, sometimes a meeting with a puppy is nicer than with a "grumpy" mountaineer.

Shits anyway belong to nature, such and different. What do you say to butts (cigarette ends) that are all over the mountain paths?! Best Pipi

Yesterday on Komna, a dog bit a mountaineer. Apparently it was a dog not used to crowds and noise. Who is guilty? I feel sorry for such a dog.

I don't know who is "sick" here - to me, someone who writes all the time in capitals and without punctuation, won't say that. I take his statement as if he were yelling at me. Hehe ... Sick dog addicts ... I just can't believe it. And what paradoxes! Some advocate that we take dogs to mountains on weekends (because it bothers you), at the same time you get horrified because we (that's what you've hammered into your heads, though it's not true) lock them in apartments during the week. Obviously you see it that way or would act that way. Yes, go to mountains during the week, and we'll still meet. Yesterday at St. Jakob the owner nicely warned the lady to leash the dog and that was it. The others were already leashed, no one was horrified, I didn't spot even one poop though there are many dogs there. All these impatient words, dear "mountaineers", are unnecessary. Your bad mood won't cause fear in owners who have "tidy" dogs with us. This forum is an excellent source for a thesis on intolerance - not towards dogs, but towards fellow humans. I understand you have bad experiences, but this name-calling has crossed the line. And one more thing: no one forces a dog on you, but we all have the right to walk this world if we behave properly. With or without a dog. Sir or madam - we will mix kids and insects into this debate, because we're talking about mountains not Tivoli. If you have frustration about Tivoli, discuss it there with the walkers. Ok? You have no right to put me in the same basket with all irresponsible owners. Obviously you lack self-confidence to spit on everyone here - I'm curious how it would be in a real situation. Get yourself a plastic dog, as you might kill a living being. That's exactly why I don't have plastic - because I can care for a real one. And one more question - what would you do? Kill all dogs? Owners? Make a reserve where dogs are allowed? Even that would get up your nose, right? Shall we abandon them so you'll be happy? Leave to chance? To impatient people like yourselves? Clear up! On one hand you pity them, on the other you insult all who have them. When MY dog bites you or you step on MY dog's shit, then you can put me on the list of those to whom you express such obvious aggression. Best Z.

Well, there's no point arguing anymore... If you can insult me, fine. You're proving your own mistakes, not mine. Some of you will just keep grumbling forever or SHOUTING LIKE THE GENTLEMAN WHO WANTS HIS COMMENT TO BE VERY NOTICEABLE AND IT IS, BY THE WAY, SINCE UPPERCASE LETTERS REALLY SCREAM TO BE READ . Have you heard of civilized conversation? No? Ah, that's the joke. Okay, then that's it. Have a nice time, to the great joy of some I won't participate in these debates anymore, because I'm not as black-minded as some "insulters". Life is too short to deal with this. All super owners of happy four-legged ones - hope we meet somewhere! Best regards and after all thanks for the excellent insight into the flaws of some people. Zala

You think you're society's elite if you have a dog. You act good, noble and humane. Such elite: dog elite. And your shits too. Then you mention tolerance and culture. Ask where for some advice.

this dog forum is a picture of the Slovenian nation in miniature - the shine and misery of subalpine narrow-mindedness and limitation

All vets and those who really know about dogs informed people in the heat how to treat dogs. In the shade and plenty of water. And here a dog owner brags that he takes the dog to the mountains because it's not hot there. I agree with the guest before me. Exactly such are dog owners. Poor puppies, Limitation. They see only their own dog. For their own satisfaction, what about the dog, he doesn't care. I don't even talk about other animals or people.

Zala should sew her opinion among dog lovers, it will be useful to someone.

The path to Jakob is one big dog procession. They put dogs on leash right under the hut. Last week two dogs bit each other bloody. Owners barely pulled them apart, in the end they fought among themselves too. That's about owners' tolerance. I also don't take my dog on such paths because of such incidents.

I think Zala faces Sisyphus' work. I also notice that among us who have dogs there are really quite a few who don't care about rules. Then it's no wonder they put us all in the same basket.

Zala has been emphasizing from the beginning that she is aware that owners do wrong too, but she doesn't want you to put everyone in the same basket, because she and others do it right. Of course many mess it up. Zala's colleague

They would say that you don't need to browse this page, but since I also described the experience below Rinkami, I sometimes peek at this page. But this isn't true!!!! I think the Society against animal cruelty should write or at least propose some law about how to handle dogs in summer heat. I agree with the previous statement that dogs need lots of water and shade on hot summer days. But for me it's not normal that owners drag them to the mountains. I know it seems nice when the dog accompanies you, dogs would do anything for their real master. But what do you do for those poor "doggy souls"? I have a dog too and it doesn't even cross my mind to take him to the mountains, and I have to say I'm almost every weekend on some hiking trail and the dogs I meet really make me sorry (yesterday I met quite a few such tired furballs and I felt like saying something). All other remarks about the rest you write don't bother me..., just dog owners think about how the animal feels at 30 or more degrees with such effort, it can't tell you. If you are TRUE DOG LOVERS, YOU WILL RATHER LEAVE THEM AT HOME or go on some less strenuous path than our two-thousanders.

hmmmm ... so don't accuse me of torturing animals, because: Article 4 Animal torture is: – any action or omission of action, done intentionally, that causes the animal severe injury or prolonged or repeated suffering, or harms its health; – unnecessary or inappropriate killing of the animal. my "animal" hasn't been injured yet and I haven't caused it prolonged suffering (not even short!), certainly not intentionally. If you think the dog lolls its tongue because it's constantly thirsty, let me teach you that it cools off that way (like sweating in humans) and that many dogs reach some peak and take a few sips and don't collapse half dead on the ground, but want to keep exploring and sniffing. If with some it's like barely crawling to the top and almost dying, then action is needed, but not via this forum and not by insulting everyone in turn.

Who is talking about taking the dog to the mountains at 30 degrees? First read the whole thread and then talk. Even smart people don't go to the mountains at 30 degrees, because it's unbearable for them too. Just to say, I was just this weekend on Triglav with the dog!!! Imagine how poor he was, yeah really I'm a true torturer, I don't know if I shouldn't just report myself to the society against animal torture.
