Brane, thanks, I know that. I meant more how long this snow can hold.

I think not too long, I mean it depends on how much falls, sun is still strong enough to melt it, just not until Friday if really half a meter falls..

On Kredarica around 5 cm snow, precipitation has eased and already in coming days +5°C. From Planika direction it will be dry first.

LG, what would we do without you. The Hydrometeorological Institute is completely unnecessary.

This forum is obviously unnecessary if nobody can ask anything or obviously can't even reply.

cebelca.... This forum is needed for exchanging information and of course descriptions and some pics of current conditions. The forum has lots of useful info but sometimes people post all possible and impossible questions that are logical or can't be answered.
You always need to prepare for a tour so info is gathered from multiple sources (books internet etc...). It's true that if someone asks a question like they just fell from the moon (no offense please!) and it's often repetitive. The funniest is when someone seeks info that was posted just a day ago. Simply put, they prefer to ask rather than check the forum a bit and get the info without asking!

Kozorog, I understand and know how it is on forums. The problem is that on this forum which I regularly follow although I post less often the standards on which question is "from the moon" and which not are already so high that people just getting into mountaineering/alpinism can hardly ask anything without hitting a mine right away.

Tomorrow on Saturday we plan to go on a two-day tour from Krma valley..to Triglav. Is the path suitable for beginners and of course we have via ferrata kit??

Triglav via Tominškova was a few years ago my first tour in the mountains in a group of all beginners under experienced mountaineer guidance and no one had issues. From Krma the path is even easier. Important is satisfactory fitness and mental prep and at least one with experience in the group. Triglav gets tons of beginners as huge numbers do first and last time in mountains right there. Still recommended to do shorter prep tour before Triglav ascent. Peca or Raduha via ferrata are very suitable.
