On Uskovnica probably no snow, if any - very little. But tonight snow line probably drops and snows all Pokljuka. I originally planned similar tour, but rained everywhere except Rudno polje.

Oh how smart some from home armchair. Matjaž - on Uskovnica snow avalanche really can't reach almost anywhere. Maybe I'd skip Konjščica via hunter path to Triglav magistrala, then all safe really.

Better not go above forest line, even below avoid gullies and slopes where avalanches known to fly down.

Bojan, I didn't mean anything bad, just a warning that conditions are far from suitable for ascents. On the other hand, plenty of safer lower peaks to satisfy the mountaineering urge, views are the same anyway in this cloudiness on Šmarna gora, Katarina, Velika planina or Kredarica. zavijanje z očmi

Of course not safe, high mountains very dangerous. But down on Pokljuka, where lukapet plans to go, really no panic. I think he has planned a very good tour. But it will be interesting to see how low the snow line drops tomorrow. As I wrote, conditions under Konjščica desperate, snow turned into slush that sinks to knees in places. Then find a way to stay dry for a decent time in such conditions. I have no answer yet. If it all snows tonight, maybe ok for walking, running,...

Regarding Kredarica, I also planned to spend New Year's Eve up there. Probably counting without the innkeeper. We'll see.

Bojan, apparently the snow limit will drop from today to Friday between 500-800m, means low clouds, fog and bad conditions, but a walk to the Uskovnica hut would be interesting, I think it's open, especially after abundant holidays. mežikanje

Upper path to planina Konjščica or above, so-called "triglavska magistrala" definitely very dangerous in current conditions, especially when the path comes out of the forest, I intend to go via the forest path from the direction of Uskovnica to planina Konjščica. This path is most likely not problematic, to planina Zajamniki the path is definitely not problematic, even if a lot of snow falls. Bigger problem is if too little snow for snowshoes. Bigger problem is fitness.

If you're already walking with crampons and ice axe, then with company and good conditions it won't be hard

Triglav in winter is considered an alpinistic ascent, so better...

You can follow footprints and hope it will be worth it, if you've been on steep with ice axe and crampons then no worries.

After yesterday's Kredarica today back again and as an extra Triglav. You couldn't wish for better conditions, so the summit was quite visited today.
And I wouldn't waste words on skiing, as the pics say it all. In short, nice weather, conditions, company...

Last time on Triglav 15.12 watching sunrise, conditions OK then, now I see Triglav clips with 5m snow at Kredarica, it looks heavily snowed, some cornices on ridge. If someone goes mid March if conditions I'd ask for report. Probably hike 10km from lower Krma (5km one way). Then 8.30hrs fast walk, now ~11-12hrs so start by 6am latest. If going let know, can go together Sat or Sun if conditions weather OK.
