Yesterday on Triglav. Start at 05.20 from end of road on Pokljuka, via planina Konjščica to Vele polje and on to Planika, Triglavska škrbina and summit. Arrived summit around 10. Descent to Dolič, where I wanted one of the two or three stews they had. But unsuccessfully, young girl serving said she can't sell me lunch as 10€ is too much and can't give change (stew without meat 5.5€). Gotta say there were quite some guests in dining room. Nothing, feet on path and went to Vele polje. Good I had one sandwich left in backpack. Then return to car around 16.00, then obligatory swim in warm Lake Bled. On way from Pokljuka to Triglav summit met lots of people, families with small kids, mostly young couples, foreigners, plus at least three Czech pairs in tennis shoes on Triglav. Descent accordingly. Otherwise wonderful trip in beautiful weather and surroundings.

Hello, today a black Nike synthetic jacket was lost on the way to Triglav between the end of the road on Pokljuka and Studorski preval. If someone found it or is heading up soon and finds it, would be very happy for a call to 040 933 532. Thanks and LP Nejc

Hello, on Thursday, 13.8.2015, landed with paraglider during flight from Kobla (last that day) on Vele polje. While packing gear into backpack on the meadow, about 100m from cheese dairy, probably forgot "windstopper" glove. Cheese dairy staff knows landing spot. If someone walks around there and finds it, would be very grateful. Srečko - 041 432447

I wish you nice greetings. Since our weather forecasters in recent years hardly guess the weather forecasts (as it is today too), I'm wondering if you think it's appropriate to go early tomorrow towards Triglav, sleep in one of the huts, then on Tuesday morning to Triglav and back to the car? I haven't been to Triglav yet, we're going with a colleague, but I'd like a circular route, perhaps an easier one to Triglav? I was thinking of going via Dolič to Triglav, down to Planika or vice versa. What do you think? Where should we park the car then, if we're doing a circular route? Thanks

If forecasters keep messing up like today and yesterday, then just go, but tomorrow weather forecast is still quite bad. For circular tour, best from Pokljuka to Vodnikov dom, to Dolič and Triglav summit. Down to Planika and back to Vodnikov dom and to Pokljuka. Other option from Trenta to Dolič then Triglav. Down to Planika, Vodnikov dom and back to Dolič and Trenta.

Hello, you can also start in Krma, climb to Kredarica where you overnight. Next day to Triglav and to Dolič, then through Velska valley to Vodnik hut and over Bohinjska vratca back to Krma. Also possible connection between Dolič and Planika and down to Krma via Konjsko sedlo. But I agree with Viper that it's even ta-narbolš to start from Pokljuka, as you get driven highest. Leave car at Pokljuka-Rudno polje. As for weather, unfortunately I can't advise-maybe duty forecaster-meteorologist.

Path goes from Planika back to Bohinj. You descend to Vodnik hut and back to Dolič.

Viper, isn't it much closer from Vodnik hut via Voj to Stara Fužina(Bohinj)? True then car at other end of Bohinj. castro76 recalculate. Good luck.

From Planika descend to Vodnik hut. From there several options: to Bohinj via planina Voje or via planina Uskovnica. Both paths easy, marked but long. I think from Planika past Vodnik hut to Bohinj-Stara Fužina about 5 hours, maybe more.

Blato-Sedmera-Dolič Dolič-Triglav-Vodnik-Jezerski preval-Krstenica-Blato 10€ for toll and enough fitness for second day and goes nicely back to car.

Hope not bullshitting too much. From Vodnik hut to Stara Fužina only downhill, via Dolič and over Hribarce quite a climb up. castro, lots of enjoyment wish you.

Not the best, changeable, cold, there might be some light snow on the ridge. Weekend weather will be excellent, but there will surely be rain. If you wait next week from Thursday onwards it should be very nice weather and also warm. Cheers!

I've done that twice already and he said for sure showers afternoon in Kamniks. In both cases it was overcast all day. They know just as much as you can find yourself, browse the net. For tomorrow (Friday) it should be changeable, some sun with lots of chance for short storms. On top probably even a snowflake could fall. Good luck

Hi! Which route is faster, over Prag or from Kotel? I know it says the same for both, but those hours are anyway a bit off
