Take both. That would be really unrepeatable and inconceivable...

Obviously you really have a lot of time. Judging from what I've read it's probably "off topic", but I'll dare anyway: does anyone maybe have a picture of CURRENT conditions to Kredarica (Žleb, summer trail). Thanks in advance for the effort. Best Igor

I didn't take pictures because it poured right there. For now it's still better via the winter variant, but in a couple of days the summer path will be more or less ok too. Redbull has already shown some time ago that he knows everything about the "buddy", so don't go after him

Ah, Hribolazec81, if you're interested in my view on guiding to Triglav just take an hour and a half and listen to Juš's link.

I used the early Saturday morning for the ascent via Bambergova towards Him. To Luknja there is still some light snow on which it's great to walk. Further it's dry up to about 200 meters before the turret. Above it mandatory crampons, followed by a traverse and steep ascent to the still quite stretched slab. Here several options, but the best is the lower kind of chamois path. 2m snow traverse and you're on the other side. Ascent up the roof to the top of Plemenice. Then the classic to the summit. In the notch the snow will probably still hold in July. Descent to Kredarica and after a short break continued under Rž past Staničeva hut over Prag to the valley. Prag is normally walkable, but with winter gear, if you need it you'll judge yourselves. There are 3-4 snow traverses. Report: http://deyangrm.blogspot.si/2016/06/po-najdrazji-k-ocaku-4616.html Good luck

Path Krma-Kredarica-Triglav normally passable, no winter gear needed (running gear). Today super weather, no crowds. Safe steps.

Yesterday (22.6.) from Krma to summit. Almost entire path dry and no need for winter gear. Only section where ice axe quite recommended is ca. 30m from Kredarica to climbing section entry. Still quite some snow right at top by Aljažev stolp, but only ca. 15m around tower - caution needed.

Great, been waiting for this info that it's possible with running gear to the top.

You can also go in swimsuit with flippers and mask.

If you prove to me that flippers perform better than running gear, then I see no problem not trying it myself.

Judging by the picture above I think we're still quite far from running gear.

What are the conditions like from Planika to the top? Is winter gear still needed? Regards

Everyone knows what they will carry and wear on the terrain. Just publicly writing on the portal about inappropriate gear is misleading others, so it's high time the portal admin steps in on such comments.
