Then go for 3 days. What you'll do those days only God knows. A guy who doesn't get angry would be advisable to take along Good luck

Gregaa, high altitude visits require physical fitness, otherwise the tour becomes strenuous, if not torment. You need to go to hills or mountains regularly to maintain condition that allows longer feats too. Weather also plays a big role, since in some heat major physical efforts are not recommended. With more mountain visits you'll get to know all this better.

Interesting reply from redbull, who often descends with GRS help. Haven't seen him thank them properly anywhere.

@gregaa, less ascent, but total probably more walking. And in heat like these days, all even more strenuous.

redbull for me one-day tour, for you half-day, for someone two-day, for someone three-day...where's your problem? for my dad it was daily tour back then, what he'd give today to do it...even in one week. gregaa go boldly! and if it comes to that, enjoy one more evening at Dolič! though I think you'll do fine even without that stop!

Gregaa, one more encouragement. I was with a very mixed group (in fitness and age) on this tour. Nice experience, lots of laughter, we all came to the valley satisfied in two days. It'll be nice, don't worry.

@gregaa I would suggest you sleep at Kredarica (1 day), climb to Triglav and then sleep at Dolič (2nd day) and 3rd day descend back via Velska dolina to Pokljuka. If you go the upper variant you'll hardly feel the effort If you do two-day then first day climb to Triglav and sleep at Dolič (or Planika) and second day just descend to Pokljuka. Of course if ZZ paths don't pose problems for you.

Also SIJ hikers (Slovenske železarne) chose Triglav for the jubilee 150 hike. We started at Pokljuka. At the horse saddle we split into two groups. Most of us slept at Planika, others at Kredarica. The second day we descended to Krma valley, there at the metallurgists' hut, with beans and good mood, we finished the hike.

Not only Czechs are those who push forward. Also among ours there are many who don't follow warning signs. Otherwise Czechs have greatly improved regarding equipment. Only bad name from the past sticks to them

Regarding equipment, maybe yes, but as for behavior, they are treading water.

@Branee, when Razor was closed, there was a warning also in Czech. And as far as I know, they followed it quite well.

Warning: Kredarica - Triglav !!! On the very demanding mountain trail from Kredarica to Triglav there is a three-point broken steel rope. Maintenance is therefore essential; it will be carried out on Thursday, 28 July 2016, by the technical workers markacists campaign. In case the volume of works is larger than expected, it will continue on Friday 29 July. The path to Triglav on the eastern side is disrupted. Alternatively, the path from Kredarica to Mali Triglav and then the tourist trail to the summit of Mali Triglav to Triglav is closed. It would be signalled by dedicated warning signs.

@mangrt This year on one solo tour across hard snow I dragged up seven young Czechs with gear that I have at home for the garden (boots, clothes), ice axe and crampons, but no one had.. By my experiences, it's quite similar to how it was. Well, I welcome warnings in more languages

The one who lets them up with such gear is unaccounted for!

Better that than reading they slipped to death. Then I directed them back down the dry trail.
