To Triglav?

Do you think this snow that fell on Triglav yesterday will melt? Or will it be more slippery up there on Saturday?

Magroman, do you think I'm of such short memory that I wouldn't think of that myself? The decision about the (multi-day) route has to be made today, so some opinion would be useful. But I know no one has a crystal ballvelik nasmeh.

Given the forecasted nice weather there could be quite a few people.

It could be quite frozen, especially on shady sides above 2500.

It's already a week old...with the youth mountaineering camp from Kota via Rjavina to Triglav, sleeping at Kredarica, next day back to the top, then to Cmir and descent via Vrbanove špice.
Day 1 about 10 hours walking, day 2 11-12h. We missed the sunrise a bit and watched it from Mali Triglav. Otherwise wonderful weather both days.
On descent from Rjavina we met Redbull with an incredibly large backpack (25-30l), but he quickly explained it's not his as he just swapped backpacks with his better half nasmeh

And also, given that in previous years Kredarica was known as a hut breaking all PZS rules, things have apparently improved a lot this year. Even group discount (for every 10, 1 guide free).

If you write that things have improved a lot, I'm really curious how it is with... well, the human need to urinate, where it stinks far around the hut, both Kredarica and Planika.
Well, the main thing is that you get a group discount, - regardless of hygiene.zavijanje z očmi

He didn't get the group discount, because there were only eight including him.
How many guides were in that group?

Well I wrote that things have IMPROVED, not that they are IDEAL mežikanje (unlike Planika, where they have worsened a lot in the last 3 years).

Anyway there were 20 of us in two groups, with the easier group going to the top and then down, without Rjavina, Cmir and Vrbanove. But we slept together. Well, and we met at the top nasmeh

Every year I'm on Triglav at least once, even 2x, but I haven't noticed things improving yet. I'm ashamed that we have such huts and such prices.

Abroad for years you get discount or free bed if you lead larger groups (Austria and Germany for 6 participants the guide gets free bed) In Italy there's something similar, usually practice is guide free sleep for 7 participants. If you stay multiple days (various camps) of course it's all a matter of agreement... nasmeh

@Smetar, yeah I know, we've used that already. Thing is prices (after this year's hikes) aren't much higher than here, some stuff is even cheaper. But that goes beyond this topic already...

@jprim, I, if possible, prefer to avoid huts around Triglav. Actually Triglav doesn't pull me much due to all the crowds. But when I go anyway, I still enjoy and don't let such things ruin my day.

My tour was long. But interesting. I started on Saturday in Lepena. Nice weather, not cold at all. Lots of hikers. But that day I walked 12.5 hours. From Krn Lakes towards Komna. But I didn't go to Komna. I turned at the hut under Bogatin to Sedmera. Path nothing special. Narrow trail. Then finally Sedmera. Tons of people. Just refilled water and went on. Towards Prehodavci much nicer views. Crystal clear lakes. Met an acquaintance going the opposite way. At Prehodavci darkness slowly catching me. But I'll get to Dolič. Hribarice that ascent still waiting. That was the nicest. Moon showed up. Mountains lit once, then in clouds. Two chamois fighting near path. And saw some ptarmigans on top of Hribarice. Finally just descent to Dolič. Started in Lepena at 8:30, at Dolič at 9 pm. Second day to summit, then down to Kredarica. Thought of going to Rjavina but it was in clouds.

Nice tour for the soul. And yes, agree, path from Hut under Bogatin (or Komna) to Hut at Double Lake is really boring.
