That ice really got to them, I think. I think they happily went to Krmo and Via Poland

November is the month that is the time to visit Bambergova to Očak. With the first real snowfall. The weekly wind made good conditions. There is not little snow, but it was breaking through only in a few places. Knowledge of the path is very important; I have no trouble with that. From ZTP onwards to the top, real enjoyment in really beautiful winter conditions. The Poles have been on Kredarica for three days already, and according to the data from the top, they arrived at Mali Triglav only after more than three hours (from home!). The conditions are really icy! After the talk on Mali Triglav with the lady who knew English, there was no other option than to turn back. The question of how much more they would need to the actual 2864m and then all back. Good luck to all and be careful, because the descent was really tough. It was only ice, chains under it. They took the traverse wrong, since in such conditions it runs 10m lower. They were watched for a long time at the hut, where Frenk was a bit annoyed. I made the return via Prag, although I had a possible return to Krmo secured with transport to Vrata. Conditions are still okay, but knowledge of this path must be the top priority. Markings under snow. Lower down, there was a good traceable little path. The ascent compared to Bambergova via Prag is surely now several hours longer. Now there is a nice track drawn via Prag, so no trouble if someone decides, but with experience. Report: http://deyangrm.blogspot.si/2016/11/po-najlepsibambergovi-k-ocaku-131116.html

Congratulations on a really nice and demanding ascent, Dejan! At least one of those chicks from Sunday footage of Kredarica BigBrother has something to show

They wrote on 24ur that there'll be at least 2 fewer steps for hikers

Idiots. Only they can write that on 24ur and in Slovenske novice. Triglav is to the centimeter exactly as high as last year.

Nonsense. Not true at all. From the Gulf of Trieste it's still 17cm higher - not 34cm, as from the Gulf of Koper, from where they measure now. If measured against the North Sea it would be higher than before. In 1000 or 10000 years it will probably be realistically a bit higher than today.
