Best is both in such descent without rope smartly and carefully.

This year sometime end June or July plan to go to Triglav, would like easiest path and the one interesting. Easy paths not always interesting. Read you recommend via Pokljuka, but on portal saw that easy marked path, Krma Valley - Triglavski dom at Kredarica and further to Triglav summit. Definitely plan weekday.

Mate07 There is no "easy marked" path to Triglav. The easiest of all are from Pokljuka and from Krma to Planika and over Mali Triglav to the top. From Pokljuka somewhat easier, because less height difference than path from Krma valley

I recommend the variant from Krma via Planika for the ascent. You can descend towards Kredarica and over Kalvarija to make a (partly) circular tour. Walking on this variant (ascent + descent) is about 10 hours. If it's too much for one day, you can overnight in one of the two huts. You can find descriptions of all these routes here on this portal, PZS forum, my blog, and elsewhere, ... Best, Bojan

These descriptions and suggestions, us more frequent Triglav visitors, might confuse you more than help with your decision on choosing "this easier and this interesting" route. Anyway, if you've never been to these mountains and heights, I suggest the route from Trenta or Zadnjica valley (not physically nor orientationally demanding, in my opinion more interesting due to views than the one from Krma) to Tržaška koča at Dolič, from there past "Lojz's ruins" over Triglavska škrbina on the western side to Triglav. For most of those I first took to Triglav, this route proved the most suitable, although of course due to the starting point in the valley it's not circular. Of course more experienced on this side we plan a circular tour one way via Luknja and Plemenice, but for the first time the above described initial ascent and return the same way will bring you enough adrenaline.

I assume that more frequent Triglav visitors know the routes leading to Triglav from Zadnjica valley. So it's not true that a circular tour can't be done. It can be quite nice and circular. So from Zadnjica up Čez Komar, then to Tržaška koča, then to Planika and up via Gorjanska, descent to Morbegno - Dolič and back via mulatjera to Zadnjica. Or from Zadnjica to Jolanda, then up the old Kugy path to Plemenice and to the Summit, then descent to Morbegno - Dolič and Čez Komar to Zadnjica. Anyone who climbs to Triglav from any direction shouldn't have any special problems on any of the mentioned sections. Alyas and what does more frequent Triglav visitors mean to you?

Two more sentences will be added by those who go and lead around there more often.

A bit of research spirit doesn't hurt anyone, if already venturing into the "non-profit" high mountain world...

After yesterday's really pleasant evening in the temple of culture at Dovje, meeting with Triglav friends and acquaintances, I drive to Kot valley, where I sleep a few hours in the car. In the morning just before 5 o'clock I'm already walking through the green beech forest accompanied by birdsong. As I start ascending, the mountains above Kot glow in the first morning sun. To the spring it goes nicely, I cross the first snowfield, then to Debeleg kamen there's more and more snow, but it's well packed and walking more than comfortable. Short stop, then onwards. A bit further from the branch to Rjavina I hit frozen snow, so I put on crampons and so all the way to Staničeva koča and up under Rž to Kredarica. Day gorgeous, so I don't linger and continue to the summit. The diligent ones and those who slept at Kredarica are already descending. The path to the top is well trodden, some traverses and part of the ridge is bare. Everyone except the Czech group uses crampons. I descend back to Kredarica, stop at the weather guys, today for dessert even a strawberry cornet was available, but only for friends, as Milan said. Since the way back to Kot is still long, I don't stay long, well in 2 hours 15 minutes I'm already at the car. Since the Kot valley compared to other Triglav valleys is usually less crowded, but today it wasn't, as many as 8 ski tourers were looking for the last turns. For me this time even without skis it was really nice.

What are the conditions like at Konjsko sedlo, can you get up there without crampons?

Mate07, don't know if you read my text or if you're joking, I went from Kot. And what would you do at Konjsko sedlo if I wrote you don't need crampons. Viharnik, thanks.

Igor, THANKS for "taking" us, as so many times, on a nice tour. I miss only the photo of the tower, which would be orientation for snow height on top. Good luck!

Especially for velesa, with whom we otherwise know also part of Aljaž, that's the one still standing on the Top. But it's not a measure for snow cover, it's actual snow drift there.

Super tour Igor, but important that Aljaž still reigns where it should. In summer when there is no more snow guardian, all fight again for its survival on Triglav top.

Igor, I don't know, after your nice Triglav pics I wonder what those Czechs had in their heads, if I see right even low shoes like those I wear on the meadow when mowing grass, but my plan yesterday was ascent even to Kredarica but time didn't allow it, hay cutting and drying so I decided for Grintovec top in KSA. Nice greetings and good luck.
