Yes Gita, thank you very much for the friendly answer. I really am here on this portal for the first time and I really overlooked those little windows and read only the last page. Usually I do one-day solo ascents and I was mainly interested in snow conditions, because I don't have crampons, only ice axe. Otherwise I assumed that most of the snow has already melted. Last year I went the first days of August, this year I'd like to go a bit earlier. No hard feelings, truth is truth and if said nicely it's completely OK. Thanks again, take care.

I suggest introducing fines (payments) or excise for stupid or silly questions. If anyone has the right to advertise for littering the forum, it's its owner, administrator, etc. But pages live from clicks... All others can ignore things that don't suit us or help or advise in good faith. The one who needs information will make the effort and if there's no answer, maybe find it a couple of pages back. Why someone writes on the forum is their own story. And Gita, some, in my opinion, really write for themselves . And to avoid misunderstanding, that's nothing wrong, at least as long as they don't start "roasting". And then it happens that some don't even dare to ask anymore, let alone write or describe something. On similar forums, because of such educational debates the forum "empties" and dies out. That would be a shame

This forum was completely friendly until one day the negativists from PZS forum stuck to it. I often check forums www.vieferrate.it and planetmountain.com, and I've never seen sarcastic answers, even if the question is ever so "stupid" or beginner.

Regarding Tominšek's and the path over Prag. I went on 25.06, Tominšek's is completely dry except the last gully in the upper part where there was (and probably still is) quite dangerous snow crossing-without ice axe. The path over Prag is dry except snow patches in the lower part, one has a bypass (about 50m long and that high) and it's not difficult, but crossing snow no way without ice axe. Probably now those snow patches have disappeared or are much smaller. From the junction Stanič hut-Kredarica over the meadow there was quite a lot of snow to Kredarica. Best regards, Lado Here is also the description from PD Mojstrana (15.06.2010) http://www.mojstrana.com/pd/na_planincah.html

First Planiki50, I am really the Thief and I don't hide behind a nickname like 99% of forum participants, including the unknown one who insulted me. What someone is at heart isn't that important, but I know what mountains are and what they mean to me, I know a few and usually share that bit with those on the forum. And among mountains is Triglav, on which today we veterans of the war for Slovenia—not for such a Slovenia as it is today (writing politics again, let the admin delete)—have massively climbed (which is not really to my heart), above all great hill and mountain friends who have been meeting up there for 25 years. The friendly grip of a real mountaineer means much more than nagging and jabs from anonymous types. Well, I went for myself via the classic route from Zadnjica to Luknja, then over Plemenice to ZTP; snow, where there is still some, allows comfortable walking, above all a pleasant refreshment; under Bovška škrbina there is still some snow, but it can be bypassed without problems on the rocks. The summit was in the sun and massively visited, I popped down to friends at Kredarica, then back over the summit to Plemenice and along the old Kugy path to Jolanda, and down the mulatjera to Zadnjica.

Sorry, I'll ask again, if anyone happened to hike to Triglav in previous years on Sunday and during the week, is there a lot of hikers on Triglav on Sunday or not. I wouldn't want to risk dragging myself up there for nothing. During the week I definitely have no problem going to Triglav, but Sunday is even more ideal for Triglav.

Thursday is great, if it's no problem for you during the weekdays to go to Triglav, go on Thursday, although Sunday isn't bad for Triglav either, I hope you won't drag yourself uselessly to Triglav.

Dear Mr. Igor Zlodej, I apologize once again to you and all respected forum members for the posted question. If I missed the sections, since it's my first time on the forum looking at current conditions, you could have calmly pointed out where to look. But then on this forum I'm "stupid" "dumb" and I don't know what else. As much as you insulted me with stupidity, I replied in a milder tone. This is my last time on this forum and surely I won't ask anything ever again. Otherwise my name is Zvonka Špilar and in my young years I was a member of AO Celje. People mountaineers, climbers..... just what kind, is another question. A real mountaineer would tell the newbie where to look. I apologize once more for the posted questions and communication on this forum. Have a nice day. I won't even look at the page anymore.

Planika50, it would be a pity to take those few unimportant sentences so much to heart. Actually this forum is a very useful thing, so just look and ask more without worry, the answer will come without worry .

Mate, last year I think I was there exactly on Sunday. There was really a big crowd, so towards the summit due to yielding and waiting you walked quite a bit longer. Just meeting doesn't pose any danger at all. Even if someone is faster, no problem; you yield to him at a suitable spot and let him pass. Well, if I had the choice: weekday or Sunday, I'd pick the first.

I can't help it, but I'd feel bad if I didn't write that I easily understand planika50's reaction. Some, even if anonymous, just won't get over their pride and that's right! Why should a normal adult human, who decently announces himself on the forum, have to endure someone, whoever it is, yelling at him? Come on, that's the last thing we need! One thing I'm more and more convinced of: venturing into the mountains doesn't make a Person, if that one wasn't made already before, in the valley!

Next week we're heading out with our six-year-old (used to walking) on a longer tour, which we planned like this: 1st day - Sport hotel Pokljuka - Debela peč - Blejska koča (sleep); 2nd day - Blejska koča - Rudno polje - Planika (sleep); 3rd day - Planika - Dolič - Prehodavci - Sedmera j. (sleep); 4th day - Sedmera - Komna - Savica. Please advise on duration, safety, better (easier) tour execution etc... Thanks!

Addition to the above question - do you think the nicer tour ending is from Sedmera j. via Komna, or rather towards Vogar?

In the Fužinske planine you can visit many more pastures, in the Suha valley or under Vogar there is more shade and coolness.

I'm surprised because it says from Krma to Triglav summit 6 hours walking, I managed to reach the summit in 3.30 hours. Conditions are as follows, no problems anywhere, so boldly to Triglav.

Probably not all hikers are equally fast, what do you think, Mate07?

Mate07, I'm also surprised because it says from Krma to Triglav summit 6 hours walking. I myself barely make it to Kredarica in 6 hours ... .

Yes, in your place I'd rather be a bit more cautious because some here are allergic to walking times. That's why I don't write them myself anymore. Otherwise, congratulations on Triglav.

Igor, have you perhaps gone over Kugy shelf this year, do you have any data on conditions? Thanks in advance and many mountain pleasures to all.
