First, thanks to everyone for the congratulations. Ascent in winter conditions and in winter to Triglav is nothing special for me and I've done over 100 of them, may it not sound like boasting, although I know some are just waiting for that . What means something to whom and what not is an individual matter, to the one who has never been up there probably nothing and to the one who doesn't know its history also nothing. Anyway, a lot has already been written and said about the tower. For long decades it was more a shame than a pride to anyone. Since despite public initiatives no one moved, the "Friends of Triglav" took the "tower" into "their hands", restored it to the best of their abilities and lo and behold, immediately a certain interest appeared from PZS or some individual to take it as the best exhibit to the museum to attract visitors like a magnet and that despite it having been nationalized years before and declared a cultural monument, where among other things the regulation states that it shall not be moved. PZS, to which Aljaž supposedly donated the land, I don't know if also the tower, didn't care about it for many years, nor did its patron, Triglav insurance company care much, although Triglav summit is still in its logo today, and the state is usually a bad manager in such matters anyway. True, cultural monuments are usually also marked and the competent ministry could have done that long ago and would have if it were somewhere in the valley, but since it's at the highest point of our country it's obviously too much burden for them, it wouldn't be wrong if done properly. PT since the restoration also takes care that every sticker disappears from the tower, even those from various PDs and every inscription and whoever doesn't believe can check anytime, as the tower is completely clean regarding stickers and inscriptions. Regarding the damage done, the injured party can file a proposal for prosecution, but the question arises who is the injured party at all, is it the state that nationalized it and declared it a cultural monument or PZS to which Aljaž supposedly donated the tower. As for the conditions for ascent to dad these days, they are not the best. A few cm of snow fell, temperatures are high, old snow breaks through here and there, the path is still snowy, in the traverses from Kredarica direction under the new snow there are also ice traps hidden, weather won't be the best, so carefully and safely if anyone heads up.
