We three also yesterday afternoon headed from Kot (16.00) and met group of cca 20 ibex - incl. young ones, to Staničev dom, overnight (whole night veryyyyy windy) and morning at 7.30 back to valley because hurricane wind, visibility 0.00 %%%%%%%%%%%% so no sense to dad's top in such.

In last days (Vršac...) already several times noted that police passable O.K. Only snowfield, passable without crampons - safe, right below Dolič, that's right at start. Then pure pleasure.

Hi,
From Triglav hut at Kredarica we'd go to Triglav summit. Then to Tržaška Koča, and continue over Luknja pass to Aljažev dom. I'd kindly ask if someone knows if Tržaška hut is open, and what's the difficulty of this route, i.e. approx hours needed with average fitness.... And if descent on that side is easier, or harder(more demanding) than from Kredarica direction. Thanks for answers....

@ dklaric: path from summit to Dolič technically easier than from Kredarica, from Dolič to Luknja easy, as it runs on wide mulatiera all time. In between there's a small ascent of 300m, but if going for two days (first to Kredarica?), shouldn't be problem. Hut at Dolič open. On walking hours don't like to discuss, depends on individual!!

Thanks a lot for answer, now clearer. Yes, 2 days, first day over Prag to Kredarica, but that's more/less known to me, also summit Triglav from Kredarica... Means one day should be plenty on mentioned path from Kredarica to Aljažev dom, via Tržaška Koča and Luknja...?

Hey. Curious about hut occupancy. Called Dom Planika they say all weekends booked till September. Anyone know what % not reserved and if e.g. up by 14 enough for remaining beds (say 15%)? Thanks

Marko1984. Regarding reservations it's always space found for some people and they always have some room because never all come because always someone cancels. At least I have such experiences.

I also called Planika, Dolič and Prehodavci, and also Kredarica and it's booked everywhere this weekend. So planned circular tour (pl. Blato - Vodnik - Kredarica - summit - Dolič - 7J - Štapce - pl. Blato) will wait a month when no crowds. Most likely space for 2 would be found somewhere, but I don't want queues on Triglav.
So our plan B Kriški podi and peaks there (hope there's some free at Pogačnik)

All huts around Triglav are fully booked this extended weekend. Probably they'll have to widen the summit a bit at Triglav . And there are so many nicer paths.

Ouch, this weekend I won't be near Triglav, guaranteed. Crowds like every year that folk will have to wait in line (literally) to get to the top.

Go to Triglav in September, during weekdays, I too went first time one week in July and there was a queue.
