To Triglav?

viharnik10. 08. 2011 19:45:20
Today I did national mountaineering duty and went to Triglav.
Started in Krma, via Prgarca up over Kurica to Planika. There we refreshed a bit for 15min. Since all hikers climbed via Mali Triglav, I took Bovška škrbina. Almost at top of climbing path I met Bojan, short chat and of course stone throwing from coastal hikers, where we secure and hide under rock. Only two pairs from Spain descended this path well equipped, so highway to top. Today summit heavily besieged, about 200 hikers. On top light breeze and quite cold. But up crawled Czechs with shoes and jeans, Supergas, backpacks just left at corner, some without anything etc. Descent took a good two hours with dodging. Midway at saddle parents overtook daughter who was without pack and half dehydrated sitting. Offered her isotonic-electrolyte drink which will help her to top. At Kredarica I also met Janko Rekar who diligently concreted scarp for hut. Karavanj from Kota also reached summit and says tomorrow again. Nice tour, legs after hours walking in new shoes no blisters, in short nice day on Očak.nasmeh

My very short report too:

wonderful day in mountains: Rit in Trenta (Zadnjica) - Luknja- Plemenice- Vrh Zelenic- Glava v Zaplanji- Triglav - Gorjanska path - Planika- Dolič- Šmarjetna glava - Dolič- Kanjavec- Čez Hribarice- Dolič - Zadnjca = under 13 hours walking, around 3000 altitude gain, seen herd 15 ibex and over 900 pics

Although walked alone, far from alone: Met Viharnik and known alpinist and leader of many polar expeditions Stane Klemenc.

More extensive report maybe follows.

I think they've already fixed it. Today we drifted a bit on gravel over Vršič too. Torrents brought gravel onto the road.

@ Mukica: thanks nasmeh

After a talk at Kredarica, Vrata is passable. After the storm, at the bend of the scree from Črlovec, a huge pile of sand was deposited, also similar at Peričnik Waterfall. In Vrata then about 20 vehicles were stuck for one day. At Kredarica beds occupied till Monday at full capacity!.

The road to Vrata is fine... You can drive up normally. Well done, I didn't think it'd be passable so normally today...nasmeh

Tomorrow I planned to go to Triglav, unfortunately some obligations came up, so I can't go. But I have four beds reserved at Stanič, if someone wants to go but has no bed, they can go instead of me. Nice regards

Which path to Triglav would be the least crowded, I see that folk goes mostly via Planika or via Kredarica.

Till the end of the month none, because now it's a madhouse there. Everyone rushes up, some are equipped for Velika Planina and not for high mountains.
Otherwise, if you want to really enjoy this part of the mountains, there is a very interesting and nice tour from Zadnjica, Dolič, Planika where it's smart to overnight, then next day up. For me it's better up via Kredarica.
And many nice moments in our mountains....mežikanje

I've been preparing for some time now for all the machinery waiting for us tomorrow towards the summit but I think my loner soul will suffer quite a bit mrk pogled

žajfa, if you think like that, then it must be so. Better stay home or go to some neighboring beauty that's less or not visited at all. Soul will be happy watching the columns winding up to Očak. Treat the soul to pleasures! mežikanje

On Tuesday I have a plan for the first time for 2-3 days to Triglav with area.
Chose Koča pri Savici via Triglav lakes. What route do you suggest back so not return same path and max use all three days.
Fitness no problem personally. Just no big walls climbing, no experience. Want really enjoy and see as much as possible.
Thanks for help
