Even if no rain the cloud cover alone spoils almost everything, at least for me. I decide on mountain trips almost only based on weather forecast.

Joža x, you like that, some don't care if it's fog or whatever. Some go to mountains to see all the way to the sea, some don't care. Me personally too. Just no storms.

No frnikola, you have to admit it's nicer hiking the hills if the weather is nice with some clouds for easier walking, than in fog or rain. Although nature is interesting in any weather and always different, I like to watch it best bathed in sun. But if you take it that way, it's nice in its own way during a thunderstorm too, if you're safe of course, when nature rages, scares us and reminds us we're just a tiny part of it, that it's stronger and won't submit. Then we feel all its power and dominance. Lp

I never head out on the trail in rain But if it catches me on the way, I finish the tour to the end can't get more than wet anyway No views then of course, but tour impressions are that much deeper

No sweat, carefully and smartly. It's poured on me on Rušica already, and under Germljat, not writing about Loška stena . . .

Really smartly, as turbo already wrote, mountains will wait, life is just one, and even that's too short to see all mountains...

I know that picture well. My dad told me and showed how they got them. I was with mom, as a kid, at Aljažev dom. Mom has pics when the army chopper flew down.

I was up there Saturday and Sunday!!! We slept at Kredarica! We barely got paid benches to sleep on such a crowd! We watched the Sfinga documentary they showed on big screen Sunday morning we went to the summit, quite crowded! Otherwise the weather on Sunday was really nice!!

On Tuesday (tomorrow) I plan first time 2-3 days to Triglav area. Chose Koča pri Savici via Triglav Lakes. What trail back suggest, not same way and max use all three days. Fitness no issue personally. Just not climbing big walls, no experience. Want to really enjoy and see as much as possible. Looks like nice weather in mountains tomorrow too. Thanks for help

I'd suggest Koča pri Savici over Komarča to Črno jezero, Koča pri Sedmerih jezerih over Hribarice to Dolič then to Triglav then choose descent to Kredarica or Planika, from chosen hut to Vodnikov dom then to Stara Fužina! then walk by lake back to Koča pri Savici! can do in two days!!!

Started still in the dark, first to Luknja, then over Plemenice to summit, met no one. Down to Kredarica which was empty, then over glacier, or Triglav snowfields which are happily growing again, over "shelf" to ZTP and straight down to Plemenice and old Kugy path to valley. No crowds, day to shout about.

Only zlodej can afford to write "quick hop to Triglav". The rest don't try, you'll hear them
