Despite the raging heat in the valleys, the day in the mountains was really pleasant. Our group this time went from Kot, over Vrbanove špice and Begunjski vrh (yesterday) via Kredarica to Triglav, then we headed to Planika and via Kurica and Krma back to the valley. Now the route to Triglav from Kredarica has finally got the status of the best secured path. Not even dust has been blown off the new cables. So, the path is now fully cabled and Očak is shackled... The ascent via Kredarica is now in my opinion one of the easiest approaches. As expected...

This is really super now to hike, no fear at all, really well secured from Kredarica anyway for me the easiest

Based on what I saw yesterday on Triglav and Kredarica I'd demolish the hut at Kredarica and all others nearby and remove all unnecessary protections... Pure boozing and non-mountaineering going on up there... Don't even talk about the stench at 2515m when you walk past the WC...

You should wait until September, during the week, then there should be the fewest people on Triglav, I'm also thinking I'd rather go somewhere else where I haven't been yet.

I didn't write that because of myself, I have no problem going past, and you can escape the crowds soon, just veer a bit off the main paths, although they themselves don't bother me that much... Anyway, as a mountaineer with some values I'm horrified by Slovenian mountaineering culture and the "destruction" and devaluation of the highest peak of the Julian Alps and Slovenia... Because I notice the situation is worsening... Best!

@urbancek you have my vote and I agree with you but unfortunately we're just arguing about nonsense.

Crowdedness is just a problem and it can't be changed. Money rules the world and so it is at Kredarica and consequently the atmosphere at our highest hut. It'll be hard to improve this situation.

I think the problem is also in the hikers' mindset, who think it's "cool" to go to Triglav whenever there's a chance and then boast about the number of ascents. And when our father peak, which is already fed up with all that, is conquered, according to Slovenian custom you have to drink, sing, and drink again......Really sad. Good that there are no huts on Jalovec, Mangart, Špik....

It's not enough that they blasted the ridge, I thought common sense had finally reached the path markers. But besides the fixed cables they even added a ledge so you don't slip by accident. And that last week. I think it's time for an elevator to the top soon.

I completely agree with you otiv, that's why we preferred to overnight at Stanič's hut on Wednesday (where not everything is OK either) and head to Triglav in the morning. The queue to the father doesn't bother me, but individuals' behavior. It does bother me when a helicopter circles above me, as happened on Thursday during descent to Prag. Despite the effort and heat (up Tominšek's back over Prag) we spent two great days in the mountains, and at the end refreshment in Lake Bohinj. Best and safe steps.

That's why I go to Triglav exclusively only in winter and even then only during the week, then there's no such demand.

Today to Triglav via Plemenice and I can say that this path is not as crowded as for example the others leading to the father. At the top as always quite lively, despite occasionally quite strong wind that accompanied me from Luknja onwards. So only a short stop and descent to Kredarica and via Tominšek path to Vrata.

Yeah, I only met two people on the way to the top via this route... Then shock at the top It's a completely different story if you're at the top at 8:20 from Vrata or those who strolled up in tracksuits still yawning from the hut...

There can also be crowds via Plemenice. Photo taken at Luknja on Friday around 8:30. Twice as many people behind me.

Today I also went to Triglav alone, via Plemenice. Already before 5 am I start, in the dark with the help of a light on my phone I lit the path all the way to the height of the bivouac below Luknja, when I reach Luknja I quickly head towards Plemenice, only one older mountaineer was ahead of me but he went ahead quickly. The path is extremely demanding, free climbing, vertical climbing on cables, climbing a sharp ridge, good grip needed and safe deliberate steps, at the top of Triglav celebration, so I quickly head to Kredarica, where I take a better look at this hut, then continue to Dom Valentina Staniča from there to Vrabanove Špice and finally descent via Prag to Vrata.

Mountain lover, with you there's really no joking. Now looking at this, it's 5 pm, and you've already entered this long tour. Unbelievable, not everyone can do that, let alone almost no one. Hats off! For you I was apparently just too slow and you didn't wait for me, who has this route planned for this year. But I know we greeted each other from afar skipping one day, because yesterday I was wandering around there all day - from Vodnikova, Doliča and Planika. Nice mountain greetings!

Here I really don't know what's so special that you enter the tour on the portal so that someone can see it at 17h... Last time I did an even longer one, had an hour drive home, and I could have uploaded them to the portal at 15h...
