Today in fog and morning dew up the secured path to the summit. Above the last chimney secured with a cable, additional ropes are installed that greatly ease the ascent. On the summit there was sun, but unfortunately no views.
Descended past Dom na Kofcah to the parking lot under Matizovec. Struklji at Kofce still excellent. mežikanje

I fully agree - extremely unpleasant path, which is almost always greasy and slippery.

I'm interested in the conditions. From Kofce still along the marked path to the summit or is there already a trail directly to the ridge and summit?

From the photos of that weekend there was little snow - on the summit grass was poking out of the snow. But yesterday a little fell.

From Mrzli studenec, over Pl. Kofce to Veliki vrh. Before that to Toplar.
Marked trail full of wind-blown snow, so I went along the ridge.
I was first up, so those few hikers followed my tracks.
Not icy, so no crampons used. No clouds and very little wind.

What about the forest road from Jelendol to Mrzli studenec? Is it normally drivable for regular cars?

Today again to Veliki vrh from Mrzli studenec. En route also to Toplar, and over Kofčeva gora to Malo kladivo.
Down along the ridge from Kofčeva gora. If going to Šija the road under the pasture is icy. Dozens of chamois under Veliki vrh.
I also met Aleša/sAlesko/ with a friend, and we chatted a bit.
Weather great. Icy in some places, but can avoid on grass. Didn't use crampons.

We caught a wonderful day for ascent to Great Peak and Topler. Path mostly dry, you can avoid snow in upper part too. Lots of visits to summit, even more at the hut.nasmeh

This time we didn't drive to Matizovec, because road closure announced and I avoided it. We drove through Jelendol and then via Kofce approached Great Peak.

We descended via Kofce Gore back to Planina Kofce, where struklji still excellent. On ridge cold S. wind blowing so tossed us around nicely.

On way back we stopped also in Dovzanova soteska, where I never been. Nice panoramic path made - really super for short walk.

Today we did a nice route to the Great Peak starting under Ljubelj and ascended via Planina Korošica and Hanževo sedlo to the Great Peak.
When climbing along cables, especially where ropes are installed (should replace them with cables), it is slippery and requires extra care.
From the Great Peak along the ridge to Kofce gora and down to Planina Kofce (very crowded) and to Matizovec. At the parking lot we were lucky a friendly couple from Tržič took us in their car to the starting point, for which we sincerely thank them.

Just this correction - it's wild pink (Dianthus sylvestris) and many-flowered fleabane (Erigeron glabratus).

Yesterday a beautiful tour to Great Peak (2088m). Start from Matizovca via Kofce. Lots of hikers. Glad to meet so much youth. Maybe worth reinstalling steel cable where it was. Saw older hikers had trouble climbing over there. Otherwise path nice, easy. Sunny day, views over whole Košuta ridge beautiful. Planned to Tolsta Košuta, but road from Dolžanova soteska closed. If go before 7am, reopen late afternoon. Otherwise can reach Planina Dolge Njive elsewhere, but road bad.
From Matizovec there is such a nice view.1

Yesterday we took our six-year-old to the summit and to strukljijezik.
The path is suitable for children, but great caution is needed at certain places due to scree on the path.
The road through Dovžanova soteska was normally open, during the week probably closed due to road works.

Vranček, Pl. Korošica, Hanževo sedlo, via climbing path to Great Peak, back to saddle, then to Košutica and hunters' path to Ljubelj.
Climbing path except lower part which is in good condition is fully renewed.
Today also had company.
At ascent to Košutica where small landslide not yet fixed, but no major problems on path.
Hunters' path quite muddy in some sections.
