Part of the path is very bad, so I don't go up with a new car  But if you have an SUV, or something older, that you don't mind damaging so much, it'll be fine

I drove there today, so the info is fresh. From Jelendol to the intersection for Kofce the road is bad - full of quite deep waves. There turn right for planina Pungrat and on to planina Šijo. This road to the barriers for planina Pungrat and further to the barriers to planina Šija is nice. From the barriers to the hut on planina Šija onwards it is extremely bad - rocky, gravelly - really only for SUVs. I wouldn't drive it again now. If you don't mind your car, then go, like I did today. Best regards!

Today there was fog and strong wind on the Great Peak. Despite that, I wasn't the only one on the summit. Trip from Matizovec to the summit just for maintaining fitness.

Today we went from Jelendol to Kofce, then to Kofce gora and from there to Veliki vrh. Five keen hikers and one hiker made the path from Kofce gora to Veliki vrh easier for us, as they trampled it well, otherwise with such fierce wind as today and fresh snow probably turned back at Kofce gora. Conditions good otherwise. From Kofce on 10cm new powder, ridge and to Veliki vrh 20cm. Winter gear mandatory.

Yesterday to the peak via Hajnževo sedlo from Ljubelj side. Below very little snow, to saddle already 30 cm. Path mostly well trodden. Initial climbing section little snow, more ice. Higher opposite. Snow partly loose partly firm. Under snow on summit ridge often hollow, so careful.

On Sunday, and already on Friday afternoon when there was no living soul around (we went to see the sunset), we two were also wandering around there, we usually start in Tržič to properly warm up. Conditions really nice, both times.

Yesterday from Podljubelj to planina Kofce and on to Veliki vrh. To Dom na Kofcah just a few cm of snow, but especially on descent due to polished snow and icy patches, requires more care. From Kofce to top more snow but path well trodden, no big issues. Morning snow partly hard, during the day softened.
