Animals I encountered on my hiking in Ennstal and surroundings:
'Well, what, what, what do you want!' ;)1
At private accommodation in Ardning where I stayed overnight. I couldn't photograph the mother.2
'What's wrong with these people that every time they see me, they pull some boxes out of their pockets, press them to their heads and press something!'3
I'll never understand why all the cows stare at you like that. ;)4

"I'll never get why all the cows stare at you like that. mežikanje"

Somewhere I heard they're terribly nearsighted, so they need quite some time and you have to get pretty close for them to figure out exactly who or what is approaching.

Really sad, apparently there's quite a lot of poison being laid out in Primorska (on the coast). Losing your pet in such a cruel way is really hard to get over. Lp

Animals I met on this year's summer vacation:
Chamois on Montaž.1
Ibex on Montaž.2
If she brought a stick and looked at me, we just had to play (Villard-Notre-Dame) ;)3
Later I learn that her name is Luna.4
In Le Bourg d'Oisans. What was so interesting up there, I couldn't find out.5
Cows while crossing from Mont Plorela to the top of Serre-Chevalier.6
This dog is not even aware of the great importance of his presence when such magnificent things happen as the owner riding the gondola to Zugspitze and back. ;)7
On the return from the Zahme Gams via ferrata in Weissbach.8
On the fence of the terrace of the Reichenhaller Haus hut.9

Hello,
many times, actually always when I go to the mountains, I run into the problem that dogs are not allowed to sleep in the huts. Is there any list of huts where you can bring your dog?
Best regards

Animals are wonderful beings! We can learn a lot from them! I would also be happy if our little dog could sleep in some hut with me.

Tomaž T, good question. Because of this problem, most of my hikes in the mountains are day trips. Animal-friendly on Krim, full praise to them. Any other such hut?

Two years ago I hiked with my dog for five days from Maribor to Solčava along SPP. The dog was nicely welcomed in the huts where we stayed - he slept in the woodshed of the hut at Smrekovec, Poštarski dom and at Grohat. A kind word and friendly request were enough. Maybe it will help someone in the future.

Every day I go from the direction of the island or Ljubljana road towards the hanging bridge or Levska brv and happily take the furry one with me too nasmeh

DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN MOUNTAIN HUTS.
This is stated in the new draft of the house rules for mountain huts. Public consultation is open until October 27, 2015. What do you think about this?

I have two dogs and no matter what others do who take dogs into mountain huts, I always leave them waiting outside, or I'm outside myself, also in winter. If the situation is such that it's unavoidable, they just stay home.
Simply, I don't think it's fair to impose on people something they might not like.

We have a dog and happily take him on the hike, of course only where we know he can manage, if we're all outside or in winter time where he can rest in the hut with us mežikanje
Otherwise he just doesn't come with us.

Keeping a dog in the dining room is definitely not appropriate, especially one that disturbs other guests. If it waits in the entrance hall, I don't see anything wrong with that. If the dog owner is alone in the dining room, the dog doesn't disturb anyone either.
Otherwise, I don't visit huts at all and neither one nor the other would bother me. Regarding dogs, dogs bother me the least, more so those uneducated dog owners who leave their dogs' droppings anywhere, just not on their own yard.

And when an accident happens in the mountains or in the valley, the furry ones are very welcome then. Then they don't bother anyone.

Instead of regulating dog owners' behavior in huts with house rules, it's easiest to ban everything.

Rescue dogs (and also guide dogs) are of course a different category and unlike others, they are much better trained. Dogs bother me, namely their owners with their conviction that their furry one is the friendliest, the best and overall oh and ah.
