Festkogel

Description:
Festkogel is 3038 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 3 km southeast from the center of Obergurgl and 7 km north-northwest from the center of Pfelders - Plan. The nearest mountain hut is Langtalereckhütte, located 5km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Rauhjoch Biwak. 3 km southeast from the summit there is glacier Westlicher Seeber Ferner, 3 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Gaisbergferner. Northwest of the summit is the valley Gurgler Tal. The peak is located on the ridge Roßkarschneide.
