Kitzkarkogel is 2800 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km north-northeast of peak Granatspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Staudleralm, located 8km southwest. Closer is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte, which is located 3km to the southwest. 3 km southwest from the summit there is glacier Landeggkees, 3 km south from the summit there is also glacier Sonnblickkees.
