Mali Grintovec is dry. Nina4 probably meant Grintovec.

On Saturday in sunny weather past the weekend huts to Potoška. To the weekend huts it was trodden, further full powder. Lots of snow in drifts, some places blown clean. On Javorov vrh sun enjoyment. On return met another mountaineer above Potoška.
To Jakob already quite trodden today, small crampons recommended.

Some of us were at the top today. Snow on top about 30cm, powder. No strong wind, pleasant Saturday trudging. Road plowed to the old parking lot, space for a couple of cars.

First tour of the year. Lots of visitors, mostly skiers. Plenty of snow, summit accessible with proper caution. Crowd at Rudno polje on return. Good luck to all 2014

Yesterday in wonderful weather over Koren to Kal Ridge. Return over Jež to Zvoh. On the way I met quite a few hikers. I didn't feel like going into the foggy sea.

Nice weather, gotta go somewhere. Stol. Parked in the valley, to Valvasor without gaiters, some snow in between. Hutkeeper told me they tried to reach the summit yesterday but failed, only got to Prižnica. Thanks for trampling it. Snow wet, rotten. From Prižnica onwards completely different. Snow hard, put on crampons. To the top no problems. Some skiers at the top who quickly skied down to the valley. I also use good conditions for descent to Prižnica. From there onwards sinking quite deep, caution needed.

Viharnik, wonderful pictures, believe it was even nicer live. Envy you. I was on Zvoh on Saturday, it was nice, just cold.

With the forecast of nice weather I borrowed snowshoes and went to test them on Koren. They proved very useful. Start at Jezercih, at planina Koren I was expecting the sun but it wasn't there. From the pasture there was thick fog, orientation was difficult. I followed the ski tracks of ski tourers. Just before the peak of Koren it cleared up. Completely different world, sun. I also visited Kompotelo and Košutna. Lots of snow, some avalanches already triggered below Zvoh. No visitors, met some ski tourers, two were on Kalški ridge.

Viharnik, I went via Planina Koren. On this side it is somehow possible to ski to here. Probably also to Dolge Njive as this side is more shaded.

Today I probably did the last ascent of this year to a two-thousander, one of my winter favorites. From the Koren summit, caution and the use of crampons are needed. Further without, they need to be put on again before the summit. Snow is frozen, with drifts in some places. No visitors, but some on Koren and Kompotela.

In the morning I decided for Velika planina based on cams. From Primož on it opened up showing blue sky. Over Pasje pečine possible without extra winter gear with proper caution. Windy on plateau but some cm fresh snow. Nice
