Thanks for the report.
Interesting that you advise against gentle gullies - but Kozorog above the ridge is also gentle and huge amounts of snow can pile up there. The Kozorog route is an avalanche path of Begunjska Vrtaca.
Actually, I want to note that until you assess e.g. Centralna from close up, you can't "guess" the exact danger rating.

We didn't climb out the flank exactly because of that. From the route we traversed over Jančeva exit to the saddle then Ostržkova to the lower plaz. Warning just because many underestimate gentle gullies. But I agree that the situation needs to be checked on the spot. Regards

perhaps for consideration. You mention possibility of avalanching already with minor load. You mention (light) snowfall and (moderate) wind. If there was really much windloaded snow above the ridge, it could slide down in these conditions - exactly Kozorogova.
Not criticism, just for consideration. Fully agree conditions in "easy" Begunjščica gullies not to underestimate now.

I accept the criticism, that's the point of good discourse, not j...... in the head. First I admit sometimes I sting someone. Into the route we went aware of all that. Also few cm new snow we were aware of. If exit gully windloaded surely rappelled back, but unlike slab hit concrete to flank. From there you know where we went. Summa summarum nice variation before shift. Lp

This weekend zero at around 1600 meters quite high, in previous days it was around 1000-1200 meters, one instructor told me it's better to wait until it avalanches then it will be ok. Under Begunjščica/Vrtača in January temperature rose to plus up to the highest peaks then it avalanched too and a few days after the couloirs were crowded. We'll see what exactly at the end of the week, because weather can be predicted reliably only 1-2 days ahead. I saw at AO Kranj they were at Lenuhova in fog, then zero was around 1000-1200m.
