The Ljubelj border crossing was bathed in sunlight in the morning and the path through the Born tunnels was glowing in autumn colors. On the Preval pasture, mists began to swirl, which higher up retreated before the sun again. On the ridge, the weather slowly but persistently worsened. At the top, I met an enjoyer who, despite the wind, enjoyed his snack with sunny misty views. If yesterday I visited Rinke, today I decided to circle Rinka around/over Begunjščica and so continued towards Smokuški plaz and past the Zelenica hut back to the parking lot.
The path is quite slippery.

Starting from Ljubelj around 16:00 via hiking trail (border) to Zelenica hut. Then continue to Roblek and to Begunjščica summit, descent Preval and through tunnel back to Ljubelj. No snow.

These days Zelenica and the mountains around it are a real feast for the eyes and soul. Larches lit by the sun invite. More at:

I left the car somewhere between Draga and planina Planinca, then past Poljska planina to Roblek and on to the top.

Today I went to Begunjščica via central gor, snow untreated, in the gully itself and higher almost no snow all blown away, almost bare and quite annoying. Returned via Kalvarija to pl. Prevala. In the forest snow sinks to knees. Path from Prevala to Ljubelj a bit trodden, snow mushy. At the top a mountaineer from the hut at Roblek said it was hard walking, snow sinks to knees and over.

Today we headed up through Bornov tunel to planina Prevala and on via Kalvarija to the top. Up to tree line snow, along the ridge itself very little, more wind-packed, no problems. Weather as it should be. Descent via Šentanski express, just right amount of snow.

Today on Begunjščica from Draga over Poljska and Roblek. To Roblek continuous snowy path - no ice. Road currently suitable for sledging. From Roblek mixed - snow, little ice and lots of bare sections. Up and down possible without crampons (small ones), but carefulness needed. At noon strong sun, no wind, so return path already quite softened. Conditions for wonderful tour.

I went to Begunjščica. Up via Šentanski plaz, down the central gully. Quite a few of us were up there today, hikers and skiers. Nice weather, sunny without a cloud and almost no wind. Dry snow, so it was possible without crampons too.
