Today up y-lon (not left nor right branch, somewhere in between) then down central. Some new dry snow. No predecessors in y-lon today, so we two plus someone (met before gully entrance) alternately broke trail. Thanks for the company. Central trampled (highway).

Since Begunjščica is so popular, I went up today too, very early though. Weather totally ok except wind. At Zelenica crowded, ...
good that the chairlift isn't running.nasmeh

I'm curious where you two went up Y gully somewhere in between given it closes with jump at end? You exited probably a bit more right than left branch? Can you mark on my photo?
Heard yes, central and Šentanski gully were ant hills. No one on Vrtača. mežikanje
Good luck all.

Today I climbed Begunjščica via Šentanski plaz. Descended the same path.
In the upper part snow is windblown, so the upper part of the plaz is almost bare, also towards the summit there are still some bare sections.

On Thursday 16.2. I went to check the conditions in the gullies right of the Central Plaz. There is really little snow and it is completely unconsolidated, so I decided to go up the gully to the NW ridge and then to the summit. Due to the conditions, even the approach to the ridge is more difficult and a bit higher the tower, which proves to be the key part of the route. Some rock scratching is also required for the ascent from the notch in the last third of the ridge. From the summit I descended again to the Bor gully and after a few tries at the first jump, which looks quite innocent, I raised the white flag and trudged to the hut for tea. The gullies need at least one, if not two, snow dumps.

Today with Čokl and his 4-legged friend we headed to Zelenica to ski Šentanski plaz. To the Begunjščica ridge via gully Y precisely original entry and right exit. The gully is just right hard to walk nicely, higher at the fork a bit more postholing but ok. Right exit over snowfield windpacked in places hard in others. Exit to total mess was the highlight of today's tour as skiing Šentanski plaz was pure suffer. Whole plaz blown to firm base icy and therefore very dangerous for slip. I took skis off and descended to lower third partly like concrete hard plaz. Continuation better especially because along scree edge you reach P at hotel. No pics because camera decided batteries not charged. For you Odi, Jure, Juš

Of course. With full winter gear of course, since it's blown to the end.

Today from Ljubelj to Zelenica and up Šentanski plaz to Begunjščica summit (descent same path). Conditions ideal, snow firm, no postholing. As Jus said, too icy for skiing. Hikers up central gully also praised snow conditions. Path from Roblek visible, due to strong sun recommend early morning.
The cable cars face the same fate as the Španov vrh chairlift1
