@Juš, that Lucifer '79 doesn't surprise me that much... I'm more interested in Left Čedca, which was, if I remember correctly, climbed in 1985 - and that in a solo ascent. That must have been science fiction

Well, let me add mine too: my dad still swears by pumps, not like the ones pelican photographed at the Czech Hut, but now from different material. Sometimes he went in similar ones as the gentleman in the picture . damijanp, I'd like to add this: I went to Triglav for the first time in 1992 . Even then there was a crowd at Kredarica and indescribable on Triglav, so no real difference from today. But I have to say, we kids back then wore regular sneakers , thank God they always performed well. But really, if I think about it today, never again, since it's basic to go to the high mountains in quality mountaineering boots .

Katty, that picture from Triglav was taken exactly in 1992. Maybe you're on it.

Lucifer climbed it back then partly with ice axes, partly just with hands. The names of the main actors have slipped my memory, but it was like a fashion craze in climbing, brought from France. Left Čedca was climbed in solo by Povšnar, forgot the first name.

Yeah, that with Čedca is a story in itself. Worth reading whatever can be found. Povšnar was somehow weird a few days after that ascent Solo, first time and never again, now everything is bolted anyway, different. And at the beginning some made their own "machines", precursors of today's. With hooks that were quite angular (R.K, one "machine" can be seen in the hut by Ljubljanica, museum value ! )

You could even reach Jalovec in velvet slippers, and we were even younger back then .

Those are chamois. Turbo, you look older than 11 years old in the picture.

Uuu, @MajaO, such unbuttoned flannel shirts are really no longer seen in the mountains. Unfortunately. But this super modern Swiss underwear has ruined everything... lp d

Hehe, if @IgorZlodej organizes an "oldstyle" mountaineers meeting (he mentioned something about it once before), I'll definitely wear it. lp d

@Scabiosa should be 12 (according to birth year) Definitely a good year plus/minus, approximately.

I had those flat pink knitted socks that didn't match any other piece of clothing, but I liked them so much that I always wore them on my feet, and a black-red checkered flannel shirt. Except for the socks, I inherited everything from my older brother, patina on patina.

Nice ad It makes me feel all sentimental when I look at old photos and recall memories. In what "rags" we used to go to the mountains sometimes and what great tours we did (already) back then

On such rainy days it's good to check the old mountain wardrobe, try on those famous velvet pumparice and lo and behold, they're a size too big for me, so I'll solve the belt problem so they don't unexpectedly fall down somewhere . Otherwise, old mountaineers told me that the best part of the tour was always when the girls changed clothes, apparently they weren't as shy as some today who go behind a bush or rock to change . Not all of course. Darja, regarding the meeting it would be worth thinking about .

Igor, not just "worth thinking about", but go ahead and think and decide. Well, for when the weather is warmer - you know - because of changing clothes
