Path over the pasture behind Lisec: in the summit part from morning dew quite muddy. Be careful then! Otherwise dry and fine.

Yesterday towards evening we went with a buddy from Boh.bistrica to Orožnova hut where we overnighted in the friendly hut, in the morning to Črna prst before sunrise, which was rather poor because clouds were right in the east.
The path is entirely autumnal.
From the top to Podbrdo and by train through the tunnel to the other side to Boh.bistrica. Super tour that the train at the end spices up a little.
I have to post this criticism, sadly... in Podbrdo by the Bača river almost every other house throws ash and slops into the water, probably much else, zmeden

But does anyone know if the hut on Crna Prst is really open on weekends as written on PZS page?

Hut on Črna Prst is not open on weekends. PZS should be more consistent about hut openings.

Thanks miri. First-hand info - hut will presumably open on 1.6.2017. So PZS info doesn't apply.

Trail to Črna Prst from Bohinj side still wintery. To Orožnova hut ok (open Thu-Sun), further winter gear needed, even small crampons not enough.

Yesterday via Planina Osredki to saddle between Četrtom and Črna Prst. Continued to Konjski vrh, back also Črna Prst visit and via Planina Za Lišcem home.
After rain quite "greasy" trail. Upper road passable no problem.

Yesterday we went to Črna Prst from Pod Luknje. Up past Planina Osredki, down via Orožnova hut; very nice loop nasmeh

. Morning view super, later on top fog. Morning we lost at least half hour due to tricky orientation on road from Raven jezen

. Sign "Črna Prst, Orožnova koča" practically invisible from Raven direction, hidden in spruce canopy and turned to be seen only from opposite. Trail start potholed cart track with big stones, say rocks, turns from road approx. 45 degrees left. Opposite road side parking for about 2, max 3 cars. Spot right after hunting observatory hidden in trees and from approach also left side mežikanje

After swimming in Lake Bohinj we went to Orožnova hut on Friday, where we slept, that was the first mountain overnight for our youngest nasmeh

. On Saturday to Črna Prst, so our older one stamped his pre-penultimate stamp in his SPP booklet.
The path is nicely marked throughout, at Orožnova hut you get apple, cottage cheese, plum strudel - we had to try everything jezik

, the kids really enjoyed the path and especially in the hut.

Today I was also on Črna Prst. Around the former alpine home of Dr. Janez Mencinger the marked path to Orožnova hut is routed a bit differently, but well marked. Maybe it's good to mention that the path is very slippery in shady parts.

A bit different, but nice.
We started towards the pasture behind Črna gora, there put on gaiters and then ploughing!! All signposts with times were at least twice too fast for us eek

for the gully under Home ridge we needed at least 1 hour imo, looked like 20 min. Then crossing to the saddle over Suha. After short consultation we skip Črna Prst and start ploughing to Orožnova hut.
after thick 5 hours of snow also up to b..s, then sat down vampi and beer. Crampons stayed in backpack, ice axe in hand a few times, gaiters much too low.
Already on Monday supposedly our tracks won't be there anymore nasmeh
