If you allow, I'll write my opinion on the numerous "traps" on the path from Kamniška Bistrica to Kamnik Saddle. First time I hiked this path at five years old, accompanied by grandpa and dad. Apparently I walked the whole path myself (obviously I was quite a sturdy kid). Later I was on the mentioned saddle from this side another cca. 10 times (though I much prefer going up from Okrešelj). And if I realistically look at this completely safe path from Bistrica, I honestly dare say that I could start up tomorrow with my little one, who is exactly 3.5 years old and about 100cm tall. And the little one is completely average for her age, sure she likes walking a lot, that's all, not some hero among peers. The most dangerous part to me seems when you can trip over tree roots, which is quite soon, in the very lower part, everything else is a 1A walk.

Hm mm "fearfulness" I don't know if one could call it that, depends on how prepared we are to do the tour safely despite the "dangers" on the path or beside it. Well on Sunday if the weather holds I'll go to Grintovec via Dolge Stene, it appeals to me again, if I don't change my mind and go somewhere I haven't been and a harder path than Dolge Stene. I know it'll be "dangerous" and "dangers" will be on the path and beside it but I'll be prepared to do it perfectly according to my psychophysical readiness. That means I'll just walk a few minutes longer than the young "chamois"

Let everyone hike in the hills, mountains according to their abilities.

hey, Primož, what do you think, do you think we'll build a highway to the saddle so you can walk easily, dunno what's the problem..., otherwise come one day to the markacists action and you'll see what and how, probably then you'd think you'd write and picture such nonsense, I see you're better for asphalt in mountains so don't go hiking so no crow picks you ,,,,,or wouldn't

Given the promising weather, I hope most of you are already on some hike, otherwise everyone has the right to their own opinion and TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER, don't argue. Judging difficulty is anyway completely subjective and I think it's right to warn people about possible danger, at the same time it's good that together we've figured out that for Kamnik Saddle from the south you don't need alpine gear and tremendous knowledge.

Don't make a circus anymore with this Kamnik Saddle. Whoever wants to go up, let him go, if it's too dangerous for someone, let him stay home or go elsewhere.

The problem of such "easy paths" is that: 1. Beginners (even complete ones) walk them, who don't master all skills yet, with incomplete gear, unprepared,... 2. Even experienced [hikers] relax more often (subconsciously of course) and are a bit less attentive to the path, details,... in short we don't identify with it as much as with a harder one. Often such paths are 'approaches to' or 'descents from' harder paths. And exactly descents are critical because more delicate, easier to get injured, plus tired, concentration drops,... As for DARS and highway they could finally make a tunnel under K. saddle to Logarska to arrive faster from Ljubljana. Wouldn't mind toll. wink If Austrians could pull it through Ture...

Calm down already a bit. Half the paths to Grmada and Šmarna gora are more demanding than to Kamnik Saddle.

I suggest deleting Picture 24 from the description so no one gets misled unnecessarily. http://www.hribi.net/izlet/dom_v_kamniski_bistrici_kamniska_koca_na_kamniskem_sedlu_/3/95/43 Joking aside. It is clear that every path can be dangerous if a person does not inquire about it beforehand, does not check the weather conditions and overestimates their abilities. And if all the above is considered, which the average responsible person does, the path to Kamnik Saddle is a great full-day family trip, nicely described in the above route description, that's why we have them. Those who don't even take the time to read the route description probably don't read this section either, so this nitpicking and excessive warning about ominous traps is totally pointless and it's just about who has the last word and the last right.

Pity you, panda. Ma prov. I'm just a marker, so I've spent quite some hours, lots have accumulated on this path to the saddle. Repaired the path though, whoever thinks the path is dangerous let them go via Graben and then let them cackle how dangerous it is.

Today was a beautiful day. Equipped with gaiters and the largest rags on hiking poles, I start from my starting point, where two hayracks already stand. Soon I realize I had the wrong equipment today. The snow was nicely frozen, so at Pastirci I put on crampons and go directly into the steep slope. There was no scree even for a sample, so much snow. No living soul on surrounding peaks.

Nice, @lijaneja ... but it was nicer for us, you should have come along ... too bad for you, cuz you gotta go to Kamnik saddle sometime if you want, such conditions in Kramarica I don't know when next ... pure enjoyment ... and those two details would have protected you ...

Jedriličar, I'm just a poor hiking amateur. Yes, Drago, this week conditions will improve a lot and it'll be possible to Turska g. also from Kotličeva, from Malih podov it's understandably already now a walk in the park.
