Hello!
For Saturday, level 3 avalanche danger is forecasted, which for me means it's better to stay home or choose a safer peak. Nevertheless, I ask more experienced forum users if the ascent to Kamnik Saddle from Kamniška Bistrica is suitable or too avalanche-prone terrain. I have all necessary gear; please give concrete answers and no "bickering". Plenty of mountains, so I'll adapt easily (if more recommended).

The slope above pastirci is just steep enough for spontaneous slabbing, let alone when loaded, and avalanches trigger from planjava and/or brana even at lower danger levels, so I'd personally advise choosing another peak.

Interesting that it hasn't been trampled yet. Made a track straight up the gully, descent on the normal path. Crampons mandatory because everything is icy. On top quite a few cracks. Hasn't cracked from Brana like today for a long time. Almost no fear of avalanche to the saddle.
Also Kam. dedec now tracked. Above the hut snow starts, base excellent, firm.

From Pastirci to Gornje Grče it's good to have at least small crampons, but you can also do without. To Pastirci no snow, except two smaller avalanches at the junction of paths from KB and Jermanca.

Does anyone know how much snow there is now to Kamnik Saddle ?? You can see higher up not so much, but lower down to the basin bottom you can't see how much. Thanks for info. Lp from Slovenia.

From Pastirci to the top only one larger snowfield, around 200 m long. Rest not worth mentioning. But at the junction of paths from Jermanca and Kamniška Bistrica two avalanches to cross, as Trdi wrote above. Winter gear not needed, snow very soft.

I have to fight my way up to Jermanca with a pickaxe every time because of incompetent drivers who only know to tear up the road by charging and burning clutches !!! ! !!! Well, people have become so lazy that when hikers walk the road they can't even kick a stone aside. We've really become the scum of some wretched nation that was once better !!! ! !!! Sad. Roads are catastrophic elsewhere too, let alone to Jermanca.  No money for asphalt and parking, or no one wants to give it because crooks spent it. I hope the end of the world doesn't come before something moves here like in Austria: asphalt + barrier and payment. Sadly we've become a dead nation so ignorant we don't value spiritual progress from hiking in mountains. Sad.

Ugh, what problems. lol Go from the valley and you'll save quite a bit of unnecessary keyboard tapping. That's all we need, more asphalt. Accusing someone of being lazy because they don't kick a stone, but how lazy then is the one who has to drive up.

Don't argue
Road to Jermanco is barely patched.
Those two critical bends are smoothed.
Last part where you park is really a bit more critical.
That was yesterday(10.5.2018)
