Yes, today they went up quite a bit. Must've been OK. For Monday we'll "see" a bit more. If no precipitation, maybe I'll go too. Otherwise - snow is definitely perfect now. Crampons won't be extra.

The snow is super, the forecast is also in our favor and it'll be warm up to -5 (they say)

It was really warm, around zero degrees I'd say, summit without wind, snow frozen, from Prižnica onwards maybe need crampons, goes without too. Day perfect, sunny, views unique.

Also, three paragliders were on top of Stol, but strong wind prevented takeoff right from the summit. Interestingly, no wind was felt on the summit; lower by the hut it was blowing up to 11 m/s (40 km/h). Still, we took off a bit lower.

I'm going to Stol tomorrow morning, around 8 though. But going via Ajdna to Valvasor then via Žirovniška path.

Today I was on Stol, it was super, conditions pretty OK, could even go up and down without crampons, no problem! The only classic for Stol was wind up through the channel between Little and Big Stol... consequently cold there near -15 or more... but worth it cuz when on top all paid off

Last weekend I accidentally found old path-old markings by stream above pasture, first through clearcut, then steep but very nice, goes to stream source, cross it twice or thrice, wooden bridge in wilderness and further, also drawn on map, worth checking. Found original marking, paint can lid, when it ran out properly painted and nailed to tree who knows when, full praise for originality. l.p.m

Yes/no crampons, take them anyway. Especially now with south-facing snow, it hardens/freezes overnight and in the morning it's icy.

Maybe someone knows the situation on the slopes of Stol, specifically from Valvasorja to the top? Icy, no avalanche danger in my opinion now...
