According to the warden, Dom na Zelenici should open simultaneously. Official opening of the new building mid-summer. Still missing some things... sewage plant for example.

Hello stankoju.. one question... when looking towards Vrtača... is the scree that you cross from the slope of Vrtača towards Stol free of snow? On the 11th picture that part isn't visible....

28.6. my friend Naniko and I went on the circular path to Stol. We took some wonderful photos, we were kindly served in Prešeren hut, where we slept and experienced a surprise from the caretakers, as they baked us pancakes gratis for my birthday one day before!
Thanks again for the gesture and all the friendliness, which you don't often get.

Yesterday my colleague and I climbed it from Tinčkova hut in Završnica, past the hut at the source of Završnica to Šija saddle. From the saddle short ascent on the upper path towards Stol, then steep descent along SW part of Vrtača and further ascent to Belščica saddle. Right below the saddle we turned left onto the scree, where the path at the foot of Celovška špica was clearly visible, which soon proved wrong choice. Probably better time-wise to go to Celovška hut and from there to wall entry. Path soon disappeared, then we ground our soles for about an hour on scree of various sizes all the way to climbing part entry on Stol path (another experience richer  ). Before wall entry put on self-belay gear and with plenty of bolts and cables and occasional sun blasting climbed to top. Just below crest arrival in rocks there's well-hidden canister with logbook and stamp (on path). After obligatory top photos descended to Prešernova, where keeper offered us last two chilled pints , then back to saddle and down the not pleasant but marked "path" through Kotel below Celovška špica. Towards start, Tinčkova hut, instead to Šija saddle and hut at Završnica source took hunter's steep shortcut "over Zagon", cairn-decorated and poorly or not visible paths at all, past idyllic hunter's hut on path below Srednji vrh.

What is the road from Žirovnica to Valvasorjev dom like? Will it damage the car?

Škoda is dead, the priest buried it..., Otherwise I think they restricted the road there too to local access or supply of Valvasorjev dom.

No problem getting to Valvasorjev dom, the path is nice too, no restrictions.

We were up there with mates last week so the path is still ok.. only thing you gotta know is don't leave the car in front of Valvasorjev dom.. so leave it at some parking before.. otherwise there really is a ramp at the start of the path (when you turn to Valvasorjev dom) it was open when we went up and down...
